Post subject:  Signs and number

Ever thought there were numbers in your life that ment more than you thought?

Like for example.

I have and always see the number 11 33 all over.

Anyone have anthing like that?

I remember someone once told me we live our life over and over. Its a never ending loop. The The universe is created and destroyed over and over and we life and die over and over.

So what if somehow we could remember small details. What if we could see a number or a sign that wouldnt mean anything until one day we figured it out or saw how it came into place.

I dont know, I think I was high when I thought about this, but the time 11:33 has never stopped to haunt me. Its everywhere really.

kinda creeps me out.

My life is composed of numbers and signs. Every day I have to calcutate where I am and crunch statistics for about where am, where I need to be, calcutate every single thing I do.

My life also revolves around symbolism. I think its becuase I grew up in such religious family that I take symbolism to heart.

(I have no idea what I am talking about anymore...) The Freedman's Bereau was composed in the late 19th century..

There was a period of time, when a particular RL friend (and fellow FFXI Ifrit-er) was renting the guest bedroom in my house...

For the span of about two months, every single night, no matter where we were -- whether it was in my room, downstairs using the bigscreen TV, out somewhere else, it didn't matter -- he and I would always end up looking at a clock just as it turned to 11:11 pm.

It got spooky after a while. We'd just be sitting there, playing some console game or another, and one of us would look up, say "Damnit!", and there it would be, 11:11pm.

11 is my favorite numer! There is a parking spot in the ToysRUs parking lot (the only one with a number) and I park there when i go to work.

Just go to Vegas - but down all your money on those 2 #s (11, 33). One of two things will happen. You'll either be flat broke (the more likely event) or the next millionaire.

And if you do that - your not as smart as I think you are :P

Yes the same thing happens to me.

The only drug i have tried is marijuana once back in brazil when i was like, 10 - Then once again a couple years ago at a party.

But the number 4:20 is always there when i look at the clock. Like this morning, i woke up with the dogs barking and as i looked at the time, it was 4:20am.
I dont know what it is, but some people use that number as reference(?) to smoking weed or something and i'm no druggie.

So explain yarr. What does the 4:20 really mean.

4:20 is like the international time to smoke pot. Im a little fuzzy on the exact details, but, it was a time when the cops would switch shifts and for a brief moment the streets were cop free so you could just smoke up on the street.

I dont remember where it originated. Its mostly lore anyway. 4:20 is however known as the international pot smoking time.

Claim: '420' entered drug parlance as a term signifying the time to light up a joint.
Status: True.

Origins: Odd
terms sneak into our language every now and then, and this is one of the oddest. Everyone who considers himself in the know about the drug subculture has heard that '420' has something to do with illegal drug use, but when you press them, they never seem to know why, or even what the term supposedly signifies.

It's both more and less than people make it out to be. '420' began its sub-rosa linguistic career in 1971 as a bit of slang casually used by a group of high school kids at San Rafael High School in California. '420' (always pronounced "four-twenty," never "four hundred and twenty") came to be an accepted part of the argot within that group of about a dozen pot smokers, beginning as a reminder of the time they planned to meet to light up, 4:20 p.m. Keep in mind this wasn't a general call to all dope smokers everywhere to toke up at twenty past four every day; it was twelve kids who'd made a date to meet near a certain statue. It's thus incorrect to deem that '420' originated as a national or international dope-smoking time, even though the term began as a reference to a particular time of day.
