Man, i remember when i was like, 7. I used to get in trouble cuz i sneaked out of the house to go over my friends house and play sonic.
I'd like wait and plot the whole week just for the weekend sneakout.

It was like, the best.

I dont know if i would actually get one though, i think i might get bored with it pretty quickly.

I remember the Lunar series being the only good thing about the Sega Saturn.

I laughed at my friend for having a sega when i had a nintendo.

Sega should have never released the Dreamcast when they did.

Here is what I know of that was good for Saturn (my brother had one)

NiGHTs into Dreams (weird flying action game that was excellent.. fucking trippy and came with special 3d pad controller that everyone loved)

Saturn Bomberman (great multiplayer up to 10 players, saturn could hook up 2 6 player adapters)

Panzer Dragoon series (not just saga... the others were like the xbox game orta, action rail shooters)

Shining Force III (strategy/tactics type game.. i have always like this series until recently, they have been ruined on today's consoles)

Castlevania: Dracula X (import only, that was supposedly a better version of symphony of the night and you won't find it cuz i can't find shit about it on the net anymore)

Dragon Force (rpg strategy type game.. was supposed to be good but i never played it)

Virtua Fighter series (I liked these but I am sure you are familiar enough with them to know if you would care)

Street fighter series and various SNK and Capcom fighters(you know plenty about these lol)

Radiant Silvergun (shooter that i heard was good at the time)

Grandia (great RPG but also released on PS i think)

Guardian Heroes (weird side scrolling action game by Treasure with rpg elements)

Really Yarr.. I would buy this system just for PDS... it was the best game for saturn by far and if not the best rpg of all time then tied with either FF7 or crono trigger. Only rpg released by that development team since was Skies of Arcadia (which was good but not even close to saga). It is too bad the game costs 200 bucks on ebay, but people will pay it (saga wasn't that long a game.. like 15-20 hours with TONS of cutscenes). Really sad that Sega hasn't made a real Phantasy Star game since IV on Genesis (PSO didn't count because it was dogshit singleplayer diablo BS and was only good online).

Saturn was short lived due to Sony having more money (to tie up square) and Sega having a small launch lineup that built no momentum (which made EA jump ship and never come back to a sega system). System was killed before it got started and my brother traded his in for a N64 not long after it started dying. Saturn was known for running 2d better than the playstation and had some of the best versions of most 2d fighters in addition to having some great RPGs. Saturn wasn't the best in 3d though and even the great Panzer Dragoon Saga had a few problems (got a little choppy at times), but less then other games.
