No, there are harder songs for StepMania (Stepmania is what he was playing, its just DDR for the computer, http://www.stepmania.com if anyone wants to try)

I'm a big DDR Fan so I'm gonna get all dork on you now.

Event Quasar is a hard song, but not the hardest out there for StepMania, there are songs so fast, its humanly IMPOSSIBLE to pass them. Theres a song called Max3000 for Stepmania, its all of Max300 compressed into about 13 seconds, physically impossible to beat.

Also, Event Quasar is stepmania only, its not an official song for DDR, so don't expect to find it in the arcades. The absolute hardest Official song for Dance Dance Revolution at this time is called "Max." (Pronounced Max Period)

It was in the Japanese release of DDR Extreme, and is even on the newer 8th Mix machines in Japanese arcades, it never came state-side because Konami thought it was "Too Difficult for American Gamers" So instead, our copies of DDR Extreme came with crappy Maximizer, only a 9 footer, and not hard at all...a big step DOWN from The Legend of MaxX, the previous hardest Official song.

Either way, DDR, no matter how hard they are making it, is still DDR, if you are able to beat the hardest songs on DDR like me, you should do what I do and play In The Groove. The company, Roxor Games, is based here in Austin, Texas, and In The Groove works almost exactly like DDR, 4 buttons, play with your feet, etc, except instead of just arrows going up the screen, no more than 2 at a time, It has Mines and Hands.

Mines are just that, Mines. You step on them, they explode, you lose combo and points.

Hands are when 3 or 4 arrows appear at the same time, and you only have 2 feet, so guess what you use to press the other arrows while your feet are busy? Lol.

Wow, I'm such a dork, haha. If anyone ever wants any tips or sites or anything like that DDR or Bemani related, lemme know, I've got loads of useless knowledge on the subject.

I was a pretty hardcore DDR player back in the day. I've played everything Bemani from Dance Dance Revolution to Beatmania to Keyboard Mania.

In relation to the computer version, there was an older version of StepMania called Dance with Intensity that was basically a DDR program that you could edit your own song and beats into it. I've seen and played some pretty rough tracks out there.

I'd have to say though it wasn't that impressive, I used to play with DDR at arcades and the computer version and using a standard keyboard the computer version you could do songs like 10x faster and harder then on your feet But man, just talking about this makes me want to download StepMania and the 12392849284 songs along with it all over again..

sadly i have to admit, i love DDR. Right now i can easily beat just about every song on the hardest mode on DDR Extreme and DDR max 2 for PS2. but then again, i think every asian is born with the ability to bust out on DDR haha :D


this video is kind of impressive... but eye-hand coordination is so much easier than playing on actual pads and learning to use your feet, so this video leaves me thinking "meh".

Last week I went to NY, one of my friend had ddr at home on her ps2 with the floor pad and everything. She uses it for work out purpose

I tried it for the first time nad I sucked

So I used my hand instead on the flooor pads

and guess what

I still sucked

lol... well im just joking about the whole asian thing, but a lot of people i saw in singapore when i went there 2 years ago were pretty good. Either way its a fun game, and hcc, you disgrace us! :D
