Saw it yesterday and all i can say was.... its horrible. The movies special effects and such are awsome, but the plot and just the whole movie is pointless.


Anyone esle who's seen it want to add anything?

How did you see it already? Most places will only authorize a midnight show the day before it's supposed to come out.

go see howls moving castle.. i went to see it with my little brothers yesterday and i thought it was going to suck... but it was actually pretty good.

I'm probly gonna wait til Fanatastic Four comes out and go see SW Ep 3, Batman, and that in one day. Last movie i saw was Sin City. It was pretty sweet. >.>

serious? Sw ep. 3 is the best movie ever, totally blows Batman out of the water. Though batman was still awsome.

roflz no. Sw ep. 3 was good compared to the other 2 but fails if the original 3 (not the retarded revamps). Batman was better imo because it brought a franchise back instead of kicking a franchise in the balls. :P

Yeah Batman was awesome.

On War of the Worlds, if it sucked they must not have stuck to the book at all then. I'll pass my official judgment after isee it this weekend.

I remember being a kid and listening to the radio program. It's soooo much scarier to have to imagine something rather than seeing it. Btw, I'm not that old. My dad had the record. He played it for my brother and I when we were younger.

I just came back from watching War of the Worlds, my wife and I thought it was great. The story was pretty much what I expected it to be. I'm not sure what you were expecting storywise Fabian? However the only thing that really frightened me was my wife jumping out of her seat during scenes here and there...

If I had to rank some of the other films mentioned in this thread (that I've seen) it would go like this from best to worst: BATMAN, War of the Worlds then SW ep3.

All in all it is definitely worth seeing...and if you don't enjoy it, at least you got to see a kick-ass trailer for Peter Jackson's King Kong (and OMG, P. Jackson lost some weight :shock: )!

Not dead, just old. The radio program was broadcasted in 1938, I believe. So, I'd be around 70 or so years old.

What i ment by a bad story was mainly cause the end. Happend so sudden and was a horrible way to end IMO. And yes there isnt 1 scary point in the whole movie at least to me... And the Aliens arnt scary looking at all.

Just wasnt the action packed scary movie i thoguh it would be. Be sides the aliens blowing everything up, you never really see the Army fighting em.. just see em run in there and die haha.

Scifi and horror have sadly been crammed into the same genre slowly over the last decade. Most of the traditional Sci Fi flicks were all used to are now referred to as action/adventure. =P

So the though of Aliens comming to earth and destroying every living human isnt supposed to scare you? I didt mean Horror like a ghost movie or Zombie movie....
