This just in, from Houston:

"With all the news lately about Hurricane Katrina, we shouldn't forget that Houston has had its share of devastating weather also.

The attached photo illustrates the damage caused to a home when Hurricane Rita passed through the Houston area a couple of days ago. It really makes you cherish what you have, and reminds us not to take life for granted!!!

No, I live in TX...Everyone in Mid to southern texas spazzed out over rita a few days beforehand...even here in Austin, FOUR HUNDRED MILES INLAND...people were freaking out. There wasn't any gas to be bought, or bottled water, or anything like that...

It never even RAINED here...and Houston got a mild Thunderstorm.

That chair is the extent of the damage irl.
