I wouldnt really consider The Verve a one hit wonder. Theres a few other good songs by them and Richard Ashcroft (I think thats his name) did form his own self titled band who had some OK stuff too. Nothing super popculturish, but good if you liked the Verve stuff. His stuff with DJ Shadow and James Lavelle was really hot too.

Thats a good list though lol some classic stuff up there too.

I got a few of those cds. Sunny Day I really like. Diary cd was fucking great. To bad they broke up, think a few of them joined Foo Fighters.

I think that's the only one I recognize from your list but I have to say that they are FAR from a one-hit-wonder..

Even on that radio thing they had quite a few popular songs: Possum Kingdom, Backslider, I Come From the Water, Tyler, and Away were all played to death...

But then again I didn't even know that people outside of Texas knew anything about The Toadies until one day I was playing Tyler and Mil was singing along. I didn't know these guys were big - They used to play free shows locally just because they were cool like that. lol

i just copied that list off some dude on amazon, i was flipping through looking to buy some new music. There are a lot of bands on the list I wouldn't consider one hit wonders really, but in the sense that they're only well known for those songs, in that someone who didn't grow up in our generation would remember the song and be like oh that's who sings that! but for us who remember the 90s know that toadies and the verve and blind melon and 4 non blondes or w/e actually had a bunch of singles.

My favorite 1 hit wonder of the '90s will always be

Divinyls-I touch myself

It has a lameness about it that cannot be ignored. I used that song for the garter toss segment of my wedding lol.

I love myself
I want you to love me
When I'm feelin' down
I want you above me
I search myself
I want you to find me
I forget myself
I want you to remind me

I don't want anybody else
When I think about you
I touch myself
I don't want anybody else
Oh no, oh no, oh no

You're the one who makes me happy honey
You're the sun who makes me shine
When you're around I'm always laughing
I want to make you mine

I close my eyes
And see you before me
Think I would die
If you were to ignore me
A fool could see
Just how much I adore you
I get down on my knees
I'd do anything for you

I don't want anybody else
When I think about you
I touch myself
I don't want anybody else
Oh no, oh no, oh no

I love myself
I want you to love me
When I'm feelin' down

I want you to remind me

I don't want anybody else
When I think about you
I touch myself
I don't want anybody else
Oh no, oh no, oh no

I want you
I don't want anybody else
And when I think about you
I touch myself
Ooh, oooh, oooooh, aaaaaah

I don't want anybody else
When I think about you
I touch myself
I don't want anybody else
Oh no, oh no, oh no

Matti's soooo sleeping alone tonight. And don't come home and try to kiss and make up to me. You're stupid.

And you better fix my car tonight or I'm going to punch you in the face.

Wasn't Blind Melon - No Rain a one hit wonder of the 90's? The singer OD or something so they didn't have another hit.

Come to Austin. I'll let Matti pay for everything and then when you guys are drunk and need a place to stay I'll show you a nice bench on campus where I promise you won't get robbed by me.
