So let me explain something. About 3 weeks ago I bought a cheap 51inc HD tv. It was garbage. I mean if it didnt have so many things breaking on it with in 24 hours of having it. If the thing worked with out the stupid convergence reseting or with the colours staying normal or with out the image shifting left and right ocationally I would have been fine. Although I hated not having 720p.
I bought that 51inc and had to have it exchanged once and was going to get it exchanged again but I decided to upgrade.

Anyways, Im excited. Im having it delievered (didnt buy it online) this wednesday and I cant wait to set it up. The TV is amazing. Its only 41inc but I would rather a top of the line 41inc over a bottem end 51inc that was always breaking(and I had it 3 weeks lol).

So yeah. I cant wait lol.

Anyway im done bragging.

Yah I worked at Best Buy for sometime. You are trained to be a tool and do whatever the customer wants. (You could have gotten him to knock like 2-300 bucks off of it probably, as long as they didnt go below Margin (cost+10%) they can do that shit haha.)

I get the TV on wednesday night (hello me not paying attention during dynamis) but Ive been through the manual and all that stuff.

Its amazing

3 Component Connections with HD (720p). Including one on the side for hooking up PS2\360\Gamecube. It also has a HDMI connection on the back for HDTV. It also has a 15Pin Dsub for a Computer monitor. So if I wanted to output my Computer to this bad boy I could.

The features on this thing are insane. The nice thing about the sony LCD projection TVs is that the only thing different from the 60inch is the size. So I dont miss out on some cool features because I cant afford the huge version.

Im in love with this TV. That in itself is awesome.

TVs are restricted to 60 thanks to NTSF. Although its not as bad on a TV as it is a Monitor.

Theres also about a 90% chance I will only hook up my PC once and then never again.

Although I have a small miniPC that I wanted to dump all my ROMS (40 gigs of NES SNES, GB, GBC, GBA and more) so I could just have an arcade style machine on my TV. Theres lots of USB converters so I could just plug in an SNES game pad too.

I might do that. So long as I can do it with out spending more than a few bucks.

OK so I got this TV and I'm going to give you my honest reaction too it.

I originally got a 52" Magnavox TV. I thought it was OK at best but was never really attached too it. On a happiness scale of 1 to 10 (10 being best) I would say the TV got a 4. It made me semi happy but I still felt like I was settling. I had problem after problem and half of them were "well thats what you get with a TV of that price"

Sunshine and I picked out the new Sony DLP because it not only had an amazing picture quality, it had an amazing apperance. The TV looked sexy even turned off.

I had to wait 4 days for this to ship to my house. Needless to say I did nothing but think about how bad I wanted this TV. I read reviews, I read forums, I even read the 60 page PDF manual.

I built this thing up in my head to be the best thing on earth. I built this thing up so much that the TV would probably have to be designed and built by Jesus himself to ever live up the Hype I created.

Well let me tell you this, Jesus makes one god damn amazing Television.

This TV has exceeded my expectations and preformed better than I thought. The picture quality is beyond amazing. I love it, the reds are bright and sharp and the blacks stay black and contrast. The first thing I did was load up MegaMan X8 in 480 Progressive. MMX8 is one of the few games on PS2 to optimize 480p for a really sharp image and colour quality.

Playing the game blew me away.

I then loaded up "The Incredibles" DVD since it has some really nice use of colours (especially Red, one of the harder colours for a TV to do) and contrast. I was floored at how awesome it looked.

I got everything setup and first showed the TV to my mother who felt I was going overboard and spent way to much money.

I loaded up the movie near the end during the fight scene with that big ball thing. My mom was amazed, she loved it and actually ended up sitting down and watching the movie for almost 20 minutes before she realized she was missing one of her favorite TV shows (Lost) and ran back upstairs.

Talisin liked it. I know he did because he looked at the TV the slowly looked at me and said "god youre such a fag" and walked back upstairs. In Talinese that means "AWESOME TV YARR!"

the only thing I was a little dissapointed in was that the TV didnt have optical audio out. I had read that this TV had optical out but was reading the wrong model specs. It makes sense though that mine doesnt have optical out since I dont have a DVC built in. Any DVC i buy will have Optical out.

If anyone here is looking for a new TV this is the one to get. Actually any of the DLP TVs are amazing deals. Cheaper than Plasma and LCDs and bigger. The bulbs need to be replaced every 4-5 years but replacing a bulb means the TV picture is restored to its original glory. LCDs and Plasma TVs do degrade over time and nothing can be done to fix those.

In the happiness scale I would probably give this TV 15 out of 10. thats no joke.
