Post subject: | Why I hate Tim Horton's |
Here is the official transcript of my latest trip to the most incompetent place on earth (the Burlington Mall Tim Horton's): Me (Cheery): Hi! Can I please have a chocolate milk and ....sorry, I don't have my glasses, but do you have any chocolate timbits? Tim Horton's Lady (Equally Cheery): Sorry, we're all out right now! M: Oh, okay, then can I please have 10 honey glazed timbits? THL: Sorry, we're out of those too! M (Disappointed): No problem. I'll just have a cinnamon raisin bagel then. THL: Actually, we don't have any at the moment. M (Very sad): In that case I'll just have a plain bagel. THL: We don't have plain bagels either!! M (Pissed): Fine. I'll just have a tea biscuit then. *At this point I pay for my food. How could they not have plain bagels...or any of the other stuff for that matter? Do they actually sell food at this location? I'm not asking for out of the ordinary stuff; plain bagels should always be available. Any of the things I was looking for (except maybe the cinnamon raisin bagel) are Tim Horton's staples and should always be available)* After they toast my tea biscuit? THL: Would you like it buttered? M: No thanks! But can I please have butter and jam in the bad? THL: We don't have any jam right now. M (PISSED): FUCK!!!!!! Are you trying to tell me, you don't have chocolate timbits, honey glazed timbits, cinnamon raisin bagels, plain bagels, or JAM??? THL (Gives rude look) M (Grabs food, storms off, turns to the people in line): THIS IS THE CRAPPIEST TIM HORTONS EVER! Now, usually I am extra extra polite, even in the face of such idiocy. But this Tim Hortons gets worse and worse every time I go. The girls at my work and I leave dissatisfied EVERY time we go. We submit comment cards at least once a week, yet nothing ever changes. I can't even drink their steeped tea it is so disgusting. Once I had to exchange it twice before I finally just threw it out. When I am in line there, other customers in line that work in the mall will strike up a conversation with me about how bad this Tim Horton's is. Anyone who works in the mall knows this. So now I am boycotting the mall Tim Horton's. I wish I knew somebody who worked in like the Head Office and might know the District Manager of this store so I could actually email this person or at least so they could be notified of how stupid all these people are. I have numerous other stories I could tell them if need be. |

s'ok so... i loooked into it.. apparantly it's some kinda dunkin donuts/knock off wannabe Timbits.. it seems are your standard munchins ![]() Quote: Timbits® - The bite sized Treat
The phenomenally successful Timbit (bite sized donut) was introduced to the chain in 1976. Customers can buy these bite-sized treats in whatever quantity they prefer, with most people favoring the Snack Pack™ sizes of 10 Timbits®, 20 Timbits® or 40 Timbits®. Customers may find that the selection of donuts and Timbits vary slightly between Tim Hortons stores. This is because, while every store must carry some "required" varieties, they may also choose from many optional varieties to best meet the needs - and tastebuds - of their store's customers. hmmm |

Tim Hortons is the leading Coffee and Donut shop in Canada. Not like you may think. Tim Hortons is a Canadian Icon. You can not go anywhere in Canada with out being able to find a Tim Hortons. To put it in perspective. Tim Hortons makes more money in Canada than McDonalds does. Krispy Kream tried to open up in Canada but eventually had to pull out since they just couldnt make any money. http://www.timhortons.com oh and I work for the head office of Tim Hortons lol. oh and to defend the Mall Location. 1) Mall Locations can not stock as much product due to lower storage space for Materials to make and hold the products. 2) Its christmas time, im not sure if you noticed that grinch. Sales are huge and Im also not sure if you noticed that theres almost always a line of atleast 5-6 people at that location. I know because I walk past that location every day to get to the Gym. 3) I kind of laugh when you said "I am extra extra polite, even in the face of such idiocy". There were no people being stupid here. Had you remembered your glasses you could have just looked over the counter to see what stock they had rather than getting frustrated at having someone constantly tell you they are out of stock. Im also assuming you went in past 6PM and you have no idea how long it takes to bake the products. In your defence I will say that its still odd to be missing that much product. I can talk to the DM if you really want. |

theres a reason its almost impossible to find any other donut place in canada. Its because Tim Hortons has shut down almost all of the competitors. Its like the Microsoft of Donut Chains. Its also a lot more than Donuts. Dont get me wrong, im not just talking like this cause I work for head office (if anything me working here has made me not like the company more than anything), they just make awesome stuff for so cheap. |

If it was just this one time, I wouldn't be so mad. But its every time. And if they can't hold as much stock in the store, they should get smaller deliveries more often. Here is another thing I witnessed: Customer: Can I have the new spicy chicken sandwhich? Tim Hortons Lady: I'm not sure if we have any more chicken. (At this point, she just stands there uselessly instead of actually going to check if they have any chicken. There is a long awkward pause) C: Um....could you check. THL: Um.....I don't know.....Um...... THL#2: Why don't you go look in the back THL: Umm....would you like that in a combo? C (incredulous): Well, could you first check if you have any chicken before I bother ordering? THL (confused): yeah, um..... At this point, thank God, someone who appears to be a manager walks out of the back. THL (turns to manager): Do we have any chicken? Manager: No. Yet another customer walks away dissatisfied. Now, lets forget that its 1130 in the morning, just about to be lunchtime and there is no chicken for their featured sandwich. Let's even suppose the woman was new and didn't know how to check herself if there is chicken. HOW HARD IS IT TO WALK TO THE BACK AND ASK SOMEONE? Its not her first day; she was working a till by herself. This exchange actually took about 5 minutes. I wish I was lying. And, even when its not Christmas, I go through the same thing. I work in the mall at least 4 times a week, how is it possible that everytime I go they just happened to run out of stock? It is obviously an on-going problem. |

lol yeah and I actually remember Volrath in Linkshell chat talking about how he loved to go to Tim Hortons for lunch. Basically any state that shares a boarder with Ontario has a few Tim Hortons. |

i love Timmy's, those new hot smoothies are so f'n good... and they have the best cappucino ever... too bad their regular coffee is ass... i work for BK, who also has really shitty coffee, and i'd rather drink that then Tim Horton's regular coffee but yeah, sometimes they can be so low on stock at hours they should be decently stocked it's just stupid... during the night shift, being open 24 hrs and all, i can totally understand a much lower stock.... but a little before the evening coffee/donut rush is a little odd.. you'd think they'd be preparing for it and yeah Tim Horton's > all coffee shops |

I will definately lead a protest against this Tim Horton's. Even my sister, who works at another Timmy's, took one look at their front window display and called it, I think she said, "disgraceful." Here in Burlington we have a Tim Horton's at every major intersection. Instead of going to the one in the mall I could just run across the street to one, if I desperately need, say, a plain bagel with cream cheese. |
