If he's so unsure about the word, why the hell did he use it? As a teacher, it's soooo important to watch what you say. Generally speaking, teachers and students aren't friends, and even if they consider themselves "friends", they use a different discourse around each other than they would their other "real" friends. Yikes. That guy is nuts for saying that!!!

sorry if you can say nigga then everyone can say nigga. cant make things a race specific term. to be honest the end pissed me off, the black student said "i dont want an apology, not gonna change the fact it happened and he isnt getting punished" 10 day suspension w/o pay, tollerance classes as well as teaching at the same school of offense is a punishment.

if teachers can get in trouble for saying nigga, students should get the same treatment. its a swear word as far as im concerned. you wanna change a racial slur's spelling and spin it into a positive you get no right to make it your race only.

as long as people use the forms of the racial slur there will always be people around to fit the steriotype. racism and reverse racism only add to the whole of the problem and never to the solution.

if that teacher was any color but "white" I doubt any news story would occur. The term has lost it's meaning when used in the context that it so often is now. Trust me, any black person knows when they are being called something derogatory, someone flamboyantly will put the "ER" on the end of it. They also know when to blow a small episode out of proportion so it "looks" like the other person is a racist. I seriously think it is time to reevaluate the term nigga completely. We have now officially grown through more than a decade of where now white people use this same term amongst friends, as well as other races and ethnicities. The N word and the copout of making just one color suffer from saying it seems blatently racist not from the white standpoint, but from the black standpoint because only one race ever gets shit for saying it.

but yea, I did get in trouble with some black kids in jr high cause I called them the N word cause they were pissing me off because they wouldn't get the eff out of my way to my locker. I called them it cause every single day they were calling each other it and they wouldn't respond to my politeness of "please move so I can get to my locker" of about 50 thousand times

Hmm....At one time I would bitch out about this saying how its ont politically correct, however, I just dont care. The quickest way to rid the world of racism, sexism, aswell, any other type of discrimination, is to not care, and to judge by merits. Its kinda what people say todo, yet, liberals, for the most part, dont act upon their pholosophy, and when they do, they become hypocrites in their understanding, by bitching at you for disagreeing (joys of living near the closest hippy-communist contry [Berkeley, CA])....

i remember i while ago i used the word "nigger" on the forums, and it didnt get very good feed back, saying im racist.

but i personaly use "nigga" all the time at school, with white and black people, nigga is like the new homie, its not a description of color anymore, at least at my school. haha

white people made black ppl slaves.
niggER is an insult, like calling someone a worthless slave

nigGA = friend, or general black guy
some ppl are really ignorant and assume nigger=nigga, and end up in a bad situation. nigGA can be ok in some situations (like if youre not white)
but if the black people in the general community is ok with it, like with ike, then i guess its ok
on a side note: ive never seen a white guy get hella mad if someone called him a cracker/honkey/etc

nigger doesnt even mean black slave, its just the context it was used. last i heard it was a loud obnoxious ignorant person. i can see why a black person would get mad at someone calling them a "nigger" but theres no reason for them to get up in arms when another race uses their slang. i cant get mad if someone bites a saying i use.

like say im a fat guy and call my self a heffer, and i let other fat people call me a heffer. but if youre skinny you cant call me a heffer. makes no sense to me, if you can call yourself something then youre open game to be called it by anyone.

the real problem is people are to pussy to stand up for shit like this, they just cower and hide because they made a black guy mad.
