I am so excited! I have it on my calendar I have it on my computer...but I would much rather watch it without subtitles on HDTV. I don't like watching movies from my computer chair. And no matter how bad the English dub is...subtitles and Japanese babble are far worse IMO.

I'm very interested to see how people that haven't played any FF games like Advent Children. I'm going to make friends watch it with me. I drug people to the last FF movie in the theater, which was a big dissappointment to me. It didn't have any good FF elements in it (other than cool animation). The people I brought didn't like it, and thought the games were like that movie. Square should have came out with a movie like this from the start.

I got a pirated jp version with shitty subs for .99 on ebay, only like 2.99 S&H months ago.

I don't understand people who swear blindly that "The Japanese voices are better" who can't even speak a word of Japanese.

How would you know that they're better if you can't understand a thing they say? If it's not even your native language how can you tell if the tones in their voice and how they project themselves and how any emotion in their voice comes across is decent?

I know that some people can speak a little Japanese, and it's fine for those people. I just hate when I see people waving their arms around saying "Omg teh English dubs are teh sux compared to teh JP voices and Subtitles." just because it makes them "cool" somehow.

I mean if maybe you don't realise some of the JP voices suck because you're spending all your time reading the text at the bottom?

i think its just because generly Japanese are more liberal in their dialogue in anime and a lot fo that is lost or edited to make it safe for American consumers ^^:.

I'd rather listen to a monotone english voice than perfect Japanese babble. It doesn't matter how liberal they are if you don't know what they are saying lol. Listening to a fast talking Language I don't understand, while reading subtitles...is just horrid (I guess I said that in my last post...oh well I hate it that bad). I don't know how people can like that at all.

And I agree it's really taken them WAAAY too long to translate this movie lol. I almost forgot it was supposed to happen. I thought it was gonna come out this past January.
