Well, i've had this pos since a year before i started ffxi so i finally ordered up a new one. had some big gay issues from big gay dell when i ordered a laptop so they bumped me up a few ranks for a few hundred dollars cheaper.

instead of an e1705 they're tossing me a xps m170 for $200 cheaper, along with the 7800 ultra instead of a normal 7800, and a 3.4ghz processor instead of a 2ghz dual core (which is worse, actually, but the 2ghz dual core wasnt compatable with the geforce 7800)

well, gonna be hot stuff, $1600 laptop that's prob a lot better than most of your nooblar pc's lol, look me up in a game anytime and ill pwn you if you feel like it.

and, sorry, i have a full time job and school, i dont have time to learn2build laptops just to make one for myself. let alone the fact that dell does make the best laptops on the market. gateways dont know the meaning of nvidia 7800. sager needs to learn2price, and pro-star needs to grow up and get rid of their 9700 radeon, that's like nooblar. oh, there's alienware still. wait, no there isnt, DELL OWNS THEM, AHAHA.

(edit: learn2edit w/legitimate arguement penislent, and btw a 17" widescreen monitor with 1900x1300 res (much higher than yours) and a 3.4ghz processor and 7800 ultra, along with the motherboard, 7200rpm 60gb hd, and case by far surpasses $1600. let alone a 3yr warranty, which i dont normally give myself.)

I'm just playing, nice rig... did you buy the monitor seperately with a docking station? or is that display what actually comes on the laptop itself? And how much RAM comes with it?

decent motherboard
19" CRT monitor
CD-RW drive
80GB 7200RPM HD
64MB Nvidia MX440 (LOL, oh well, it plays everything i want it to play smoothly, and cost nothing)

just 1gig ram, i wouldnt utilize 2gigs. oh, and the screen comes with it, was like $150 extra to upgrade it, though.

ah, and laptop pricing is pretty insane. you will almost never even find PC-available high end parts on laptops either, so i got rather lucky.
