Ok so I made one for PS3 and here is the one for Nintendo Wii.

So far the newest rumor is that the price is going to be around 250USD and thats not bad when you figure that the price of 2 Wii systems and a game is still under the price of a PS3 lol.

Newest and greatest news SO FAR.

Breaking News: Square Enix has just announced a new Dragon Quest game, titled "Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen at the Tower of Mirrors" exclusively for Nintendo Wii. It will be available at launch.

This is going to be absolutly HUGE in japan. Dragon Quest games in Japan are more populare than Final Fantasy games (In General). Not to mention that a new Mario and smash brothers will be ready at launch. Also the Smash Brothers game at launch will use the Wifi connection so you can play it online (for free).

When it comes to the japanese market Nintendo is pulling every ace out of their sleve.

Nintendo's also set to do their press confrence today. I can promise that there will be even bigger news there. I mean they did rent out the same building that hosts the Acadamy Awards lol.

pretty good review from Time Magazine.

Heres a quote

Quote:
Nintendo gave TIME the first look at its new controller--but before I pick it up, Miyamoto suggests that I remove my jacket. That turns out to be a good idea. The first game I try--Miyamoto walks me through it, which to a gamer is the rough equivalent of getting to trade bons mots with Jerry Seinfeld--is a Warioware title (Wario being Mario's shorter, fatter evil twin). It consists of dozens of manic five-second mini games in a row. They're geared to the Japanese gaming sensibility, which has a zany, cartoonish, game-show bent. In one hot minute, I use the controller to swat a fly, do squat-thrusts as a weight lifter, turn a key in a lock, catch a fish, drive a car, sauté some vegetables, balance a broom on my outstretched hand, color in a circle and fence with a foil. And yes, dance the hula. Since very few people outside Nintendo have seen the new hardware, the room is watching me closely.

It's a remarkable experience. Instead of passively playing the games, with the new controller you physically perform them. You act them out. It's almost like theater: the fourth wall between game and player dissolves. The sense of immersion--the illusion that you, personally, are projected into the game world--is powerful. And there's an instant party atmosphere in the room. One advantage of the new controller is that it not only is fun, it looks fun. When you play with an old-style controller, you look like a loser, a blank-eyed joystick fondler. But when you're jumping around and shaking your hulamaker, everybody's having a good time.

After Warioware, we play scenes from the upcoming Legend of Zelda title, Twilight Princess, a moody, dark (by Nintendo's Disneyesque standards) fantasy adventure. Now I'm Errol Flynn, sword fighting with the controller, then aiming a bow and arrow, then using it as a fishing rod, reeling in a stubborn virtual fish. The third game, and probably the most fun, is also the simplest: tennis. The controller becomes a racket, and I'm smacking forehands and stroking backhands. The sensors are fine enough that you can scoop under the ball to lob it, or slice it for spin. At the end, I don't so much put the controller down as have it pried from my hands.

gets me pretty excited. Warioware for Wii is gonna kick ass. Mini games with that remote would just be stupid amounts of fun.

Nintendo have responded to the news of Sony's controller, read what one spokesman had to say...

Has everyone calmed down yet after last night's shocker of an announcement? Maybe not, but Nintendo are taking Sony's controller in their stride. In an article at CNN Money about the Sony conference, a Nintendo spokesman responded to the news, in the first comment from Nintendo on the subject.

Apparently shrugging off the similarities, the un-named spokesperson simply said "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery." Just don't expect Nintendo to flatter Sony much this evening...

I like how the Wii has really frightened Sony. Sony is the big kid on the block and they're flat out copying Nintendo's design. I fucking HATE that, but it is amusing to see them squirm when they realized how inadequate their design was. Nintendo has said before that their release date must be before Sony's, so I wouldn't be suprised to see them release on or a little before November 17th.

Watch Wii cost half as much as the 500-600 dollar PS3. Fuck Sony. All they have is FFXIII. I still won't buy that shit.

Announced last night...

Sonic: Wild Fire, an exclusive Sonic game on the Wii, will be coming in early 2007. The story is loosely based off an Arabian myth or something, but whatever, exclusive Sonic FTW.

This conference is going to be awesome.

Everyone who thinks the Dual Shock 3 is a complete ripoff of the WiiMote either isn't thinking or isn't reading. The only thing in common is that they both feature some kind of motion sensitivity (There have been PC controllers that do this for like 10 years.)

The big difference is that the WiiMote is completely revolved around the design of moving about when you play, swinging swords, hitting tennis balls, etc. And more importantly detects all movement, as well as where you're pointing it and how far away from the TV set you are. Every game will have to use it like this too.

The Dual Shock 3 has it added meerly as an extra feature, that may or may not be used by developers as and when appropriate. The Dual Shock 2 included Pressure Sensitive buttons. Some games used it if it was appropriate, a lot didn't. The new feature for the Dual Shock 3 will be treated the same way, it's not intended to govern how you play like the Wii controller, it's just a little something extra for when a game can benefit from it.

Sure, Sony probably got the idea to do it from Nintendo, and figured since they were redesigning the controller anyway they'd try to slip it in. But they didn't "copy" it, because it's not even the same concept really.

Anyhow I have a subscription on Gamespot so I was watching the PS3 Conference "live" on the hi-res stream. If the Nintendo one is the same time tonight I'll watch that live too.

I'm too busy watching to keep making posts lol.

At the moment I'm being forced to listen to some french guy from Ubisoft showing us someone playing an FPS using the nunchaku controller.

He looks stupid lol, all crouched down and wacing his arms around.

Doing Swordfighting now.

I'll admit everything Nintendo shows looks fun but I wouldn't want to let anyone see me doing it ever, lol. I mean thinking of like 4 people in front of one console and TV doing this just makes me cringe, lol.

They've moved onto talking about the DS now anyway.

I just once want to use my controller to beat up my cousin in smash brothers, and have a decent sounding excuse for it... "but titi, I'm just playing the game, see when I hit him over the head, my character kicks him... its part of the game!"

I think for general game play it could get annoying.

however, party games would be fun as hell.

They just played an on-stage Tennis Match using Wii Controllers, lol. There's no way someone will have that much room to run around in their Living Room.

Miyamoto vs Iwata, lol.

They even changed the in-game models to look like Lego-type versions of them, lol.

E3 06: Nintendo reveals Wii classic controller
Nintendo gives the Wii a "classic" gamepad for Virtual Console games.
By James Yu, GameSpot
Posted May 9, 2006 2:44 pm PT

See it »
Nintendo included an image of a new Wii controller hidden within a package of hardware screenshots available for download on the Nintendo press site. The image titled "Wii_classic_0501" shows a gamepad-shaped controller with a Wii logo front and center.

The "classic" file name suggests that the controller will be used for classic Nintendo games that use a traditional gamepad interface.

The controller is reminiscent of a Super Nintendo Gamepad with its oval shape, d-pad, and an x, y, a, and b button set in a familiar diamond formation. The controller also features what appears to be four buttons along the top of the controller. The classic controller face also has two analog sticks, which are necessary to maintain GameCube compatibility.
