Post subject:  WHO CAN JUGGLE?!?!?

It's my curse. Ever since 3rd grade I've been able to juggle. My elementary school put on a show at the end of every year where there all the kids from grades 4-5 would juggle and jump-rope (guys would juggle, girls would jump-rope usually) Me and 2 other guys were good enough in 3rd grade so we got to be in it, it was sweet.

My town also had an after-school program called Jugheads that would put on another show with kids from middle school. I was never a part of that but some of my friends were, and they got to go to nationals for juggling and stuff. Buddy of mine set the world record for joggling (running with juggling) for speed. I'm sure it's broken by now.

But yeah, I can juggle up to 6 balls (har har, laught it up) rings and clubs and torches, whatever. It's a curse. Every party I go to... "ANDY JUGGLE!! JUGGLE!!!" And after the entire party has focused on me, I can't say no, so I gotta grab some apples off trees or take knives from the kitchen and be everyone's clown lol. I kinda hate it. All my friends will just throw stuff at me because they know I'll catch it. Like if I ask for a Mountain Dew theyll just chuck it at me. So far I've caught all of them... I haven't been smacked in the face... but it's scary shit, one of these days I'm gonna die from a pepsi to the skull.

Anyways, it's great for hand-eye coordination and I love being able to just pick things up and juggle them. It's fun to sit around and practice too. Does anyone else do this? Or have stupid talents that everyone makes you do when people are around?

I wanna see you juggle something, like chainsaws or rabid bears.

God you guys are 4th graders lol. I kept telling myself that you guys could resist a lame ball joke, but I guess not.

Juggling chainsaws is cool, unless you need to use one. "Cmon Rick can we use....1?...."

oh come on, you had to know I was going to make a crack at the fact that you just bragged about your ability to handle multiple balls at once.

I like how everyone made the crack thinking they were so clever and he had already addressed it in his first post lol.

I use to go to juggleing club in the park when I was in high school.. I got pretty good with the free style stuff.. most I could ever do was 4 balls though.
Haven't tried in awhile.. but maybe I'll pick it back up. Luckly my friends never figured out that I could juggle. aha.

I'm a fairly decent juggler, Denchi, but six is really impressive.

I've been attempting to learn the simple five-ball cascade, but the speed and throwing accuracy just seem to be beyond my reach. One week I spent over an hour each day just trying to get it down, and eventually the frustration overcame my will. Any suggestions?

When you do six, do you use a half-shower, or three in each hand (like how I do four; two in each hand)? And I strongly dislike using knives at parties; without proper balance, it gets ugly. Not like butter knives can hurt you, though.

Well the way I do 6 is the like a two-ball cross. Like I'll throw 2 up, then the next 2 up, then the next two up.... etc etc, and they cross paths. Does that make sense? Kinda hard to explain.

The way I learned 5 was just to keep trying. 5 is actually really frustrating, after being able to do it for 3 years I still mess up a lot. It's just really concentrating on what your doing wrong. Like if you're throwing them out too much, or if your 4th throw always goes way too far one way, etc. You really gotta conentrate on correcting the smaller things, then just juggle. It's just a really really fast pace like you said, I'm not sure what other tips I can give you.

Knives usually aren't too bad.... if they're weirdly balanced I usually don't juggle them.

Fairly sure this entire thread was a ploy on Denchi's part to steal a Mitch Hedberg joke.

I know I was being sarcastic, I hope Rein didn't really think I was trying to steal Mitch's joke legit, being so well-known I thought most people would recognize it right off the bat. But as this thread makes very clear, sarcasm doesn't travel well over the internet lol.

Anyways... RIP Mitch.
