correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't all the ingredients on the side of the can? I mean it tells the ingredients just not how much of the ingredient is put into making the product. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0, ... 63,00.html and if India really tried to ban sales of these 2 giants you would see an unprecedented black market for this product. So Stupid. |

I read this story too but if you look at the ingredients, (I'm using a bottle of Fanta for this but its the same thing pretty much) it says Carbonated water, Sugar, orange fruit from concentrate, citric acid, acidity regulator E331, Presevative E211, flavourings , Sweetners (Sodium saccharin, aspartame) stabiliser (E412) Colour (Beta-Carotene). Also contains a source of Phenylalanine (a naturally forming amino acid if you want to know) It's the bit in bold that is kept secret and doesn't need to be disclosed, as well as the exact amounts of everything else, such as 30 times the legal limit of pesticides; and which presumably is what the Indian government (and perhaps other governments after the story gets round) want to know. Of course like you said Supa, theres no point in banning it, it would just go under a black market lol, I suspect the power of Coca Cola and Pepsi would significantly outweigh the power of the the Indian government to enforce such a ban. |

What's the worst that has happened since the two have been being sold? And what happened that they just decided to take action now or just do the tests? |
