I have read a ton this summer. I began reading stuff by Dan Brown (Angels and Demons, Deception Point, Digital Fortress) Then, I read The Rule of Four. Then, I got really into so-called "chick-lit"...like, Bergdorf Blondes, Something Borrowed, Second Assistant, Can you Keep a Secret, the Right Address, The Dog-Handler. I also read a book called Doctor Sweet and His Daughter...which was a little bizarre, but I liked it. Um...I read Billie Letts most recent novel, which was okay. I read a book by Albert Ellis, who is a famous psychologist. If I had to pick a favorite author it would probably be John Irving. But I'm sort of out of that stage. I could never pick a favorite book. But if I could only have one book for the rest of my life...it would probably be Welcome to the Monkey House...which is a book of short stories by Kurt Vonnegut. The book I'm most proud of reading is the Canterbury Tales, just because it makes me feel smart for reading the whole thing. Anyways, that was a huge answer for a simple question! What about you? |

I thought of something else to add. I just found out that another 'Shopaholic' book is coming out in September. I love this series because I am a shopaholic and I completely relate to the main character. I mean, it isn't great literature, but it makes me laugh out loud! |

WOW, congratulations on actually finishing Canterbury Tales ( trust me, she deserves it) Took me 5- 6 tries to actually get through that book. I think my favorite tale was the Miller's tale, omfg too funny ![]() |
