So...like, did Pixar just take copyrighted characters for this or did they get permission? |

nahh this was most likely a square project. Pixar had nothing to do with final fantasy the homosexual movie. |

I'm beginning to think no one can read these days... ![]() That's where the question came from. And thank you for telling us that Square made the Final Fantasy movie, haha. That has been quite a shocking revelation for us all, I'm sure. |

Wikipedia wrote: the film brought in a significantly lower than expected box office return of $80 million. As the film's budget was close to $130 million without marketing, it was considered a box-office bomb. This catastrophic loss led to the Square Pictures dissolving.

![]() Because it would be nothing without name recognition --same thing with that awful Vincent Valentine third person shooter |

![]() Yeah I was so Hyped about this movie. I followed it from the day it was announced. I watched every single weekly 3 second clip and read all the site updates. The more updates I got, the more things I saw, the more I didnt like where it was going. Yeah it has the FF name and yeah none of the FF games are ever related (excluding FFX-2), but this was different imo. They didnt have spells, they didnt have summons, they didnt have the "Final Fantasy" they only had Cid. Thats it. Still, it was an alright movie. Nothing amazing. I bought it on DVD because I was always interested in it. Im actually the only person in the world who has watched the movie start to finish and listened to all the comentary tracks. Theres like 4 of them. FFVII:AC was much better. Square studios would have made lots of money had they used the AC plot with the SW budget lol. Hell, I watched FFVI:AC with sunshine and she thought it was "geeky" but very well done and actually enjoyed watching it. To bad I cant convince her to watch inuyasha |

It was amazing as a technical achievement. The story was sub par but still tolerable. All in all it;s a B movie to me. If it were live action probably like a C- or D |

it irked me how the people they picked to do the voices didn't look anything like their character. ed norton played by steve buscemi, ben affleck played by alec baldwin.. wait what?! not even james woods could save that disaster and he's the fucking man |

lol I had that post made up before I saw your post. Sometimes at work I get distrated (by work, wtf) from the forums and leave a post in limbo for a while. oh and James Woods needs to die. I hate his voice lol. Sunshine has to stop me from killing myself when I see an ad for The Shark. |

That video is awesome haha. I didn't like that Final Fantasy movie much. Mostly because I wanted it to have the Final Fantasy elements like some of the above posts said. The spells, summons, maybe a chocobo or something. Advent Children delivered! I still watch that movie and get goosebumps. |
