I wish the Lodestone (or the game itself for that matter) told you what Linkshell people were in. It's hard to tell whether the other people in the top 10 lists are random people or in organised linkshells.

According to that site there is a level 49 PUG on Lindblum and several others very close. I find that more pathetic than impressive. It's good to leave the house every once in a while.

Spectorx Asassin is a friend I met in 14 beta.

quite a few people can be described as unknown & inactive (about 20 out of 90). as soon as they make it possible for yarr or sackholders to boot inactive players, i'm going to flag some players for inactivity and eventually start booting if they never log on and no one can vouch for them. we're starting to approach capacity and we have to deny active players linkpearls just because inactive players are clogging the LS.

Well!

Ket and I both agree that we could just write our own function to grab the data ourselves. All we need to do is keep track of the UID S-E assigns each of us. Then we can just write a php script that goes out to the page, reads in all the data and then parses it out.

All we have to do is key off of the bit of HTML prior to each value with a str_pos() function of some sort and then spit that into a substring function and add a few chars to make it read the right bit of data.

Implementing it would take a bit of programming, but nothing outside of our technical skills. Just a matter of housing a script and figuring out how we want to get it to run and when. And then if we were to upgrade our forums to something like... oh, I dunno... perhaps SMF, we could have it auto-incorporate that data into the sig line each member.

We have enough PHP/JavaScript junkies in this LS to easily do pretty much anything we'd want to do.
