So I was in the middle of a pretty serious session of doing nothing in FFXIV again when all the sudden this guy popped out of no where.

He didnt say anything, but he did target people and look at them. He looked at me and ruby a few times. Im not sure if he actually moved or stayed in the same place. He kept using AOE buffs that hit anyone in the area around him. The spell moves and effects were different from anything I had seen.

He vanished at the end with out saying a word with a special kinda cool spell effect. It was almost like a smoke bomb effect.

hes an arcanist, an unavailable job at the moment. Interesting, i wonder if its part of the whole coming of the archon thing theyre building up atm.

i guess this unofficially confirms that arcanist is the 14 equivalant to bard, and not blm like many believed.

This event has potential, but still Square is being far to quiet as to whats going on. I expect the speculation so far is probably 100x better than what Square is really doing.

His name sounds like the name of Lisa Simpson's imaginary boyfriend.

This is cool if square actually had this guy do this on purpose. Kind of the same way Odin was secretly introduced with no warning as the Dark Rider.

If this does turn out to be a buff/support class like RDM or BRD I'll definitely be checking it out when its released. That's exactly the kind of class I was hoping THM would turn out to be.

That being said, having another class to sit at rank50 doing nothing on isn't exactly what the game needs right now...

Apparently there is an NPC that pops near Uldah Repair NPC/ADV Guild Fountain (mine was named Alfgar)...you can talk to him for a Lodestone Achievement for your character. He pops and depops but current speculation is he pops same time the GM (Urianger Augurelt) on the world pops. Needs more verification.

Achievement is called:
Seventh Moon Rising
"You have heard rumors of suspisicious individuals appearing near aetherytes and prophesizing the end of the world."

That GM popped last night... top of the ramp right by me, but this time he was speaking french.
