The BLM and WHM in my perma party wanted Fenrir baaaad. So we planned for the perma to fight him. Only reason I'm posting this is b/c I got alot of crap before the fight. I heard 75 PLD can't tank Fenrir (need NIN), if PLD "can" tank they have to kite, etc, etc. We went in anyways. I don't believe everthing I hear on this game. Here was our setup:

WHM73/BLM36 - Athel
PLD73/WAR36 - Kluya (me)
RDM74/WHM37 - Ambroise
BLM73/WHM36 - Conker
SAM73/THF36 - Trizin
RNG73/NIN36 - Ultimatewarrior

I'm not gonna lie it was rough. We won on our 3rd try. First time got him to f'ing 1% (I almost cried irl), second time like 25%, and finally took him down on our 3rd. Gravity didn't land on the fight we won. So I tanked him straight up as 73PLD with earth staff and Adaman (I don't have the end game rare/ex badass stuff). Athel is the best WHM in the game, without her there was no way I could stay alive in this fight. Her and Ambroise worked very well together spam curing me. When Fen 2 houred we all went to 100ish hp. I had to invincible the exact second of Fens 2 hour to give Athel a chance to run up and Bene us (one more hit I was dead). She ran behind me and fired Bene...I hit my "Cover" Athel macro that exact second and she was already dead. He ate her in one hit lol. So Ambroise healed me from that point on...I really thought we were dead. Here's the screens with the results. These were taken by Athel.

That awesome congrats guys. what alot of people might have underestimated is the dynamics that a static party can have.
You've probably worked though some tough situations together, and really have a feel for eachother.
I know several times during my lvl'n I've had not a "perma" but ended up with the same people over and over because we liked how we worked together.
Knowing your team inside and out really helps with the split second reactions.
My hat comes off to you guys. Good job.

If I'm not mistaken I killed Fenrir months back with kayne ( the monk) tanking, and have done it several other times with a paladin, but still congratulations. Fenrir is certainly no joke no matter the method you used.

Good job on the win. Just goes to show what a little hard work perserverance and teamwork cna do for you.

Congrats, but I do not think a PLD tanking fenrir is that big of a deal... then again Shiloh tanked for our group and made it look easy.

Good job, big time. I remember when Fenrir was first released and Peejo tanked it with the following set up: PLD DRK DRG WHM BLM BRD. Anytime a PLD tanks Fenrir it's an interesting fight. lol
