I'm not sure on the gun, caue well guns suck ^^. Good for somethings but the dmg/dly is actually horrible compared to bow, xbow.

relic bow is 81/524 rngacc +20 rngatk +10. It's great, but compared to the weapons rng's geat at 30, 40, 50, 60, this should be a lvl 70bow and worth like 200k. lol

I honestly think that one of the summer updates will increase the drop rate of 100 currency so that 3 to 4 drop per raid. Be patient guys, its coming :D *hopefully*

Well all the relic weapons fully upgraded have three effects to them. First is the effect from the weapon itself and is shown on the description (ie. Additional Effect: Blindness as found on Scythe), and two hidden effects. One from doing the WS in battle (Haste on Scythe), and the other is built into the WS itself (WS heals DRK for 25% HP). It's not really the WS or the DMG that makes the relics overpowered, it's all the hidden things they get with them.

Where can you find info about hidden effect on relic? I know the excalibur had a unique additional effect (DMG proportionate to HP) but I dont know what the 2 hidden effects are.

Don't think anyone has fully upgraded sword. Considering weapons for PLD and mages are just toys. Heh. The only two weapons fully upgraded atm are Scythe and Bow. On any server.

OMG Rein called the Excalibur a mere toy! lol, well I am hoping "Knights of the Round" is the best looking WS in the game. So at least we can look cool will EXPing 8)

I've seen the animation for Knights of the Round. It is really nice, but I doubt it will be more than just a toy. The only way it would be useful is if it granted phanlax, but Great Axe gives it *supposedly*, so I don't think they'd give it to sword like they really should have to really make a PLD buff.

That would be awesome if KotR gave use some type of protection like Blink, Stoneskin, Phalanx, Shadows, something cool. Dammit Rein u got my blood pressure up lol, I WANT AN EXCALIBUR NOW!!!111oneoneone

Scythe: Catastrophe - Drains target's HP. Additional effect: Haste.

Polearm: Geirskogul - Additional effect: Shockspikes.

Katana: Blade: Metsu - Additional effect: temporarily enhances Subtle Blow effect.

Great Katana: Tachi: Kaiten - Additional effect: temporarily increases amount of TP stored with each hit.

Club: Randgrith - Delivers a Shield Break attack. Additional effect: temporarily improves accuracy.

Staff: Gate of Tartarus - Lowers target's Attack. Additional effect: Refresh.

Bow: Namas Arrow - Additional effect: temporarily improves ranged accuracy.

Gun: Coronach - Additional effect: temporarily lowers enmity.

My guess is these are *some* of the hidden effects on the weapons. They don't list all, because there isn't enough data yet.

I don't understand what they could base phalanx or any kind of enhancing spell off of considering they're all calculated using different formulas.

a % def bonus makes more sense to me. :?

Yea the WS dmg section depends alot on playstyle but rng usually end up storing 150% tp for accuracy (at least at lower lvls).

I think that Applepie guy on ffxionline was saying there was more actual delay to ranged attacks than it says on the weapon tag. I cant remember the details... ill try to find the post again.

But yea from what ive seen the total dmg accumulated just from shooting arrows/bolts is kinda low. Id like to see some pts with a RNG using a Gun, the ranged section would take a hit but the extra nukeage from barrage/slug shot would prob more than make up for it.

Ahh that's ok, i'll just have to stop being lazy and see if I can find a decent parser out there. I like all the categories that one keeps track of and the style in which it does it.

Ya at lower lvls 150-200 TP is the norm before firing off Side/Slug. But at 70+ I really noticed no difference. I hated the damn WS because it seemed so damn random lol. Now even on Gods and HNM I just eat sushi and blast away at 100tp. The acc more than makes up for the dmg.

Edit: I don't use xbow on gods because the lack of defense down really sucks (unless you want to fire off 50 of them and hope you get lucky, and the CP arrows +40rng acc and 10rng atk is nice to have every 3mins)

The dot on gun sucks. The dmg for WS and Barrage is deffinately higher. But the dly is so high I can almost shoot 3 bolts for every 2 bullets. It adds up quite a bit. the dmg/dly ratio on a gun is almost as bad as GA or Scythe, maybe worse. It's really quite sad.

Ebow on ther other hand is probably the best dot of all the rng weapons, but you don't get to defense down the mob and the party overall doesn't do as much dmg. A rng with O.bow is a huge benefit to the pt.

I'd love to have one...but at the price that gil buyers are willing to pay for things now and jack up prices. I think i'd just end up selling it anyway haha.
