Flat screens are getting faster and faster performance wise. They can basically match the speed of a crt. One thing to spot is ms speeds. The lower the ms number on the flat screen the faster it refreshes the images and better able to handle 3d games.

But be careful, lower ms on a flat screen also means more $. So try and find a balance.

If you go the route of LCD display you want to listen to what mikey said. While most people wouldnt notice it too much, it can be annoying.

Id go with NEC or Veiwsonic. Those two brands generally have a lower MS response time.

samsung's pretty good too. They just introduced 2ms flat screen moniters. But take in mind, they're very expensive lol. However you get no blurring when playing fast moving 3d games.

Is that safe to click? What number is the rule about not clicking any of Matti's links?

What kind of things are you looking to do with your monitor Mikola?

I mainly need a screen that saves space(aka not CRT basically) that is fast on the refresh rate with good color quality. I like 19" cause I was looking at smaller ones and it was like "zomg, it's so tiny.." and anything larger looked wrong to me.

thanks for the help though guys (:
