This show is absolutly amazing! I mean its probably the only show on TV that forces the viewers to wrap their brain around things.

Who caught that episode? what are your theories?

Man this show has gotten really crazy. I am starting to wonder what the Others are all about and how the hell they originally got there. Their little villiage was hilarious though with the whole book club thing. Them watching planes break in half and crash was fucked up, then they spread out and mix in with the survivors to inflitrate them. Its some fucked up shit. They have a fucking aquarium, and cages for animals. No telling exactly how long all of this shit has been there. Also noticed how they treated each individual prisoner. That made sense actually lol.

Each prisoner was put through different "trust" tests from what I saw.

Jack was tested to see if he would trust someone just because they know all the writen information about him.

Sawyer was tested to see if he would trust a total stranger based on the fact that he was also in a cage.

We didnt really see how Kate was tested. Im assuming she was tested based on if she would trusted someone based on their status.

Thats the first thing I noticed.

I realy like how Lost makes it feel like we are only seeing a small fraction of the real story. Then every season we take a step back from the wall and see more of the picture.

Its probably the most complex show on television right now.

Yeah that is why I understood how they treated each prisoner. They are trying to test them so they can potentially incorporate their prisoners into their society. Sawyer's treatment was hilarious of course, he didn't trust a stranger because they already knew he was a con-man. He should know better than to trust strangers obviously. Kate's was fucked up and we will probably be shown later what happened there. They might be testing her loyalty as well. Jack's situation was a test as well, they saw his weakness concerning his ex-wife in how he only wanted to know about her. His obsessive nature of course was driven home hardcore. Him ignoring their warnings about the door was awesome haha.

Yeah it was. I was like "Just open the door jack" in my head thinking that they wouldnt have him do it and it would become this "thing" that we the audience always wonders about.
Then he opened it and Im pretty sure I laughed pretty hard.

When the zoomed out and showed the little village in the island I was like wow thats a pretty damn interesting twist. I mean I assumed they had some sort of village, but not as elaborate as that.

I wonder how this is going to tie into the rest of the story. What really was the purpose of the computer? I mean the "others" were able to use it to communicate right? so whos behind all these strange mind games.

I've heard so many good things about this show. I need to check it out...still haven't watched 1 episode even. Are the DVD season 1 and 2 worth paying $30+ for each?

I havent actually seen any of season 1 and Ive only seen some episodes of season 2.

They do A LOT of recap episodes. Infact the first episode this season was actually just a recap. They do this so that they can keep the story complicated and just remind people about the important parts lol.

Jack noticed he was in an aquarium, and Juliette mentions being the last of Dharma from "long ago" but she doesn't mention "how long" she could have been a little girl during this time. She is holding a Stephen King Dark Tower book (I assume this is also here for a reason). Also Ben even betrayed Juliette by shutting the door on her, if Jack didn't help her she would have died as well and we can tell Juliette didn't really like Ben for doing that. The way Ben has absolute authority there is puzzling, I look foward to future episodes. And yea each looked like they were going through a battery of trust tests. The crazy old man telling "freckles" she wasn't his "type." I wonder what "type" that guy goes for lol.

Yea definitley.

The dvd probably has extended/deleted scenes tho which might add a lot to the story

yawn*

the thing with kate was a little lame, I didn't like all the hype the first episode was getting. Next week looks a little better, but I'm still not all that interested in the others.

They've prolly been there for a while though, since they have a small village, and plumbing and prolly electricity.

I hope they explain how and why dharma corp. was there, but I think its probably from WWII.
