there's always the generic post about: what do you want for the holidays? well this year i'm switching it up and asking: what are you buying for people? I lucked out and had a small shopping list this year:

mom - really nice comforter and sheet set, some knit rugs and other arts and crafts style stuff that she enjoys doing in her spare time

girl - canon powershot s5 is, stocking: perks of being a wallflower, the idiot, american gangster, failure - fantastic planet, no knife - fire in the city of the automatons, no knife - riot for romance, candy

friend - eternal sunshine of the spotless mind dvd, radiohead mix

friend - mario galaxy for the wii

I havent spent a penny on anyone for christmas. I pulled Talisin from hat this year, but I havent even asked him what he wants. I'll just buy something when he comes down on the 20th.

Sunshine doesnt even know what she wants (well I know what she really wants, but shes not getting that lol, I just bought a computer!). Ive got some idea's but Im trying not to spend more then 200-300 bucks on her for christmas so I can save up for what she really wants.

Same here.

The only things I can think of that my friends/family really want are out of my budget...

I'm just gonna steal a bunch of jewelry from work or something.

Mom - Money (the best gift in the world IMHO)
Dad - some sweatshirts for him to work in (he said he needed them)
Step-Dad - less than a lump of coal

Grandpa - DVD player and the DVD Version of "Deal or No Deal" Game (he watches it all the time lol) and 2 flannel shirts

friends - Visa or American Express Giftcards (about as good as money)

no girlfriend to buy for this year - unsure if that is a good thing or a bad thing ;/

There are many holidays where I put a lot of thought into presents and try to give some really cool gifts. I sometimes try to buy what people want or is reflective of what they may need. This year many of the people I know are just hurting and need money so I'ma give what I can in that area.

Wow. I just went to Circuit City and bought (for my Mom) the Toshiba HD A3 HD DVD player for $200. It came with 300, Bourne Ultimatum, and 3 HD DVDs of my choice in Circuit City. On top of that she gets the 5 free by mail. What a value....it would cost 200+ just to buy 10 hd dvds.
