Yeah, I think they screwed up the AoE between the two classes. Pretty sure they meant for CNJ to be the healer class and THM absolutely wrecks them. It'll be interesting to see how these classes change in the future, whether it's changes to the fundamentals, or a way to specialize either class further. I miss playing a mage and I really would like to play one, but these classes just aren't cutting it for me.

Yah. My goal is really just to have all mage jobs ranked up, so I can pick and choose the abilities that I want. Hopefully we can raise affinity up to 100% on all jobs (given enough time spent farming guild marks).

As it stands right now, I'm holding onto close to 100k guild marks on THM for in case the eventually let me get the extra 40% affinity. Then I could switch to CNJ and use all my THM moves as if I were THM. Would be nice.

Either way, sooner I get THM and CNJ done, the less I need to worry about them adding Arcanist, or whatever that job is in LL. I don't want to fall behind on the abilities.

i prefer CNJ aoe for buffs, especially in tight exp parties where people pay attention and gather together

although having said that, i noticed the THM aoe isn't a tiny cone anymore, it seems to have spread out. maybe it is better now.

i can imagine THM aoe would be great for situations where you have a bunch of people not paying attention and spread out, like with leve-linking parties or raptor clusterf*cks

THM AoE is good for healing, because...

In clock terms, if melee + mob are at 3 o' clock, and archers are at 9 o' clock. I can stand at 6 and hit both with healing.

As a whole, I think we need to work on the running around once engaged, though. Even on that raptor party test yesterday, it was a bit crazy. Harder mobs have scary AoE.

I looked into a few traits for GM for conjurer. I know the 1st one I'm going for is Fast Cast which I can buy now. However there is also one that seems to focus a trait like the way thm aoe although I haven't played enough or know anyone with it. So I'm not knowledgeable here, but perhaps with this trait CNJ can be more productive than THM in the areas you guys mentioned?

I haven't looked into that, either, CNJ, so I'm not sure. Maybe!
