It's because alot of stuff has been happening irl recently, that because I'm too lazy to explain, only Kio and by default Ket probably are aware of lol

So most of you know I got hired to teach English in Japan this year and was supposed to leave in August for Japan; However, I got the following email from my company a couple weeks ago:

"Dear ALT, (an ALT is the title for a foreign English teacher in Japan)

We appreciate that you have been waiting patiently now for news of your relocation to Japan. So it is with regret that we are writing to advise you of your current status with Interac Group, and your available placement options and what this means for you now and in the future.

Firstly let me reassure you that you do have employment in Japan with Interac; unfortunately however your arrival time will need to be delayed until next year. The reason for this quite simply is that the number of teachers has exceeded the number of positions available for overseas candidates, because of the overcompensation for the predicted loss of teachers (they don't mean teachers killed, they are talking about all of the scared foreigners who fled the country in fear of radiation and flooding etc.) due to the March 2011 earthquake.

The company will continue to meet our commitment to you by providing you with guaranteed placement but not until April, 2012."

So basically this company's mistake fucked me over big time. So I had been frantically searching for different jobs I could get while I waited for my placement next year in Japan, and through some miracle (the miracle of Skype interviews) I landed another teaching job in Taipei (the Tokyo of Taiwan), and my plane leaves in 2 days (the 14th of August). My contract for this school is 1 year however, so I had to basically tell my Japanese company to further delay my placement from 6 months to 1 year.

Anyways that's why I've not been online and probably won't be for abit until I'm settled into Taiwan. It's been hell to get all the visa documents and shit I need in such little time, so obviously I haven't been able to play lol (sorry Nayoz and Kio ;-; )

For those who are unaware of what Taipei is, here's a pic of literally where I'll be living (well, probably not this close to downtown because I don't want an outrageous rent price :p )

lol I actually was a slight bit worried that SE would block Taiwan IPs. . . not sure if they do or not, but Taiwan is quite a bit different than China, though I wouldn't expect SE to care haha. If that's the case I'll just VPN it like I did they other JPONRY games I played.

And @ yarr haha, I'm still fakanese for another year due to this delay, so I got 1 more year of getting to spread my bitchy gay BLAM bubbles all over everyones faces in CKD :D

Taiwan is fucking hot and humid. I'm fucking melting.

My gaydar goes crazy because every young guy I see dresses in semi girls clothing, and I know they can't all be gay.

I only see like 1 white person all time i've been here, and people stare at me.

How's the food?

Food is fucking cheap, everything seems to be cheap and convenient (unless you purposely are shopping at the rich people stores which is a waste of money), bus and bullet trains to everywhere you need to go for like 50 cents USD haha; sidewalk food is also like 50 cents. I just got a really really nice apartment in a new building, although small, it's only about 350 US a month when the similar apt I had in Cali was 1k a month. Keep in mind I'm in the biggest city in Taiwan lol.

And nah Yarr, I should start using my Asian eyelid glue to get rid of my Caucasoid eye crease - then i'll at least pass off as a half-breed.
