I will be starting a new LS called UniversalBallista to include all the major na hnm ls, and to unite the NA community, and in general have a lot of fun. In conjunction with the new update, we will be able to rent an arena for ballista matches where we can have 1 vs 1, team vs team, and ls vs ls matches of all types and in all level cap ranges, including uncapped. The purpose of the ls will exist for organizational purposes, and will feature a weekly date where we will all gather for ballista matches. Previously due to the erratic match schedule, this sort of thing wasn't possible, but with the new update, we can organize matches to fit our busy real life schedules.

After i posted i sat and re-read the original post again. And i apologize, because i think i missed the point of this pearl. It being more of a way to unite all shells to do something together. I was thrown off by "leaders of hnm shells and leaders of Dynamis shells having Pearlsacks" and i thought "oh this is ls vs ls. If this is going to not group people into thier normal ls or dynamis ls grouping than i think it's a cool idea. (but on a side note, i do still think it would be fun to do LS vs LS with 18 mems of each ls of thier choosing to do a Tournament style event.)

The LS vs. LS stuff isn't always feasible since Ballista is nation versus nation, and I am Windurst all the way no matter what nation I am currently doing missions in (fuck sandy and bastok). I might be interested in this if the new reservable PvP type arena thing is any fun.

Well, the whole point of these is that the IRNC doesn't host the battles, therefore i would assume there is no "Herald" to enforce rules for who is on which team.

If you reserve the area for yourself, I'd assume it works similar to Dynamis Hourglasses and after reserving the area (perhaps a time in advance) you pass around some kind of "invite" to other players who can use it to get in.

Sounds like some fun stuff to me. Lets set up a LS v. LS tournament so we can all really start to hate each other. Or will it actually make us like each other? Cause we wouldnt want that to ever happen.


say like 4 different LS's and then have a losers bracket and once you get 2 losses you LS is out and then winners play in the fiinals. oh man im definately dreaming on this one.

What are the requirements on level and what are the classified "HNM LSes"

Well if there is no herald to enforce rules then I would like to be able to change equip during battle (all my macros change equip) and use items. As far as LS vs. LS bring it on I guess. But as a BRD all I do is annoy and piss people off by sleeping them and running away. Now SE nerfs lullaby in ballista (my only true means of defending myself) and makes a new zone for pvp.

Having played other games competitively I really don't like how FFXI is pvp wise and how the classes are unbalanced. If I want to compete with people I would rather play a FPS or fighting game especially if it is balanced. BRD has no way to kill people basically in ballista and they just got their only way to survive nerfed a little. This leaves me very uninterested in the future of ballista in FFXI and I don't give a damn how other jobs feel about me sleeping them or how "cheap" they think it is.

This game was designed around a party system and strategy that pertains to that system. When people go off to solo eachother then the true unbalances of this game come through. Maybe I should just go level another job so I can have fun in ballista. That in itself is shitty sounding and just shows how PvP in this game is an afterthought and wasn't planned in the original designs.

To reply to ponuh's question, all large NA end-game ls's are welcome. Admission to the ls will be on a level 65+ basis, first from the major ls that I know of, including, but not limited too:

Cobra Kai Dojo
The Three Kingdoms
Monarchy
Fate Sealers
Project End Game

If your a leader of a major hnm ls, please contact me if your interested, and I will register your ls as part of the UniversalBallista, and give you a pearl sack. The leaders will then distribute pearls to all members interested in participating in their ls.

Once this has been accomplished, high levels 65+ that are not in a major hnm will be taken into consideration if the ls has space.

lol Well thats as low as i'll go and Eternus i Completely agree with you when it comes to Brd. yes Sleep is cheap but Brd should be able to controll the battlefeild and with brd sleep ppl have abused with subbing brd... it's Gay if u ask me.
