Ok so I picked up the book at 8 this morning and it is now 320pm and i read all 651 pages of it. My surmise of the mood: fucking awesome.

Its unlike the rest of the series. Its darker and full of moer evil intentions.

Gonna point out some spoilers to those who know the story but dont wanna bother reading the book:

























































A good friend takes over Potions class while Snape is put as the Defense Against the Dark Arts Post.

Albus Dumbledor dies. Rowling said she is going to make a character (main character) die in everyu book from 4-7 and Dumbledore bites the bullet in this one.

Who Killed Dumbledore? Snape. Harry and the gang were right all along. He was lying to Dumbledore and was working for Voldemort the entire time.

Lol. My sister went at 12 AM and got the book. I told her to get me one. I ended up logging off wow to read for about 20 min before bed last night. About 120 pages in and it's quite good so far.

And yes I do enjoy reading Harry Potter. Go fucking shoot me.

i used to be like "omg i must read it" but thanks for the summary cause i've wanted to read but im too damn lazy to get back into the harry potter reading mood

I wont read the spoilers :P I luv Harry Potter. my mom bought the first 2 when it wasnt a hype and we were all like omg O_O we want more haha

I dont belive snape is exactly working for voldemort. I bet when snape was killing dumbledorf he wasnt pleading for his life, but for him to kill him. I bet snape and dumble both know the only way to actully kill voldemort for good is to have snape on the insdie to help Harry out in the end. So by killing dumble Voldemort fully trusts Snape now.


Guess we will have to wait till book 7.

I just finished it and I feel suprisingly empty, haha.

Not really sad like I thought but empty. Meh.

Actually i was talking witha friend of mine for a while about the book and we came up with a few things about it....

Maybe Dumbledore made a Horcrux for himself?
If so, that would mean he had to have killed someone to make his soul be torn...

It's probably not that. The wizarding community was afraid to speak of it. The library didnt even have it as it was such dark magic. I doubt dumbledore of all people had a horcrux.

However there was an allusion to an arguement Snape and Dumbledore were having that year. Perhaps Snape told Dumbledore he was tricked into doing an Unbreakable Vow and then told Dumbledore this and when Dumbledore told him not kill him so he wouldn't die Snape disagreed. So when snape came up the tower, knowing he'd die if he didn't kill Dumbledore, Dumbledore said "Severus...please" as in, "Severus, please kill me so you don't die". And that's why Dumbledore taught Harry all of his secrets that year. Then again the counter to that would be the sentence before snape kills dumbledore when it says "Snapes face showed hatred" or something like that.

Whew I put too much thought into that lol

finished it a few days ago and just looked at this page, lol

I thought it was good, should be a pretty crazy setup for the last book.

I don't think Snape is all that bad, I'm still holding on to the hope that he's really good... oh well

The 7th book is going to be wierd without hogwarts...It'll be like a Nancy Drew dective novel, hehe.

I also believe Snape is still "good". Dumbledore has been treated as a near-omnipotent figure in the first six books, and for him to have "absolute trust" in Snape, well, he's got a damn good reason. There was no shock in seeing Snape "betray" him, just a whisper of his name. And the headmaster paintings seem to retain most of their knowledge and personality, I'll be quite surprised if Harry doesn't have any contact with the picture of Dumbledore in the seventh book.

J.K. Rowling has had the final chapter of the seventh book written for years and years. I truly believe this is the greatest literary series in the whole of human history, and to the Pope who condemned it:

Go to hell.

Finished the book in a day too :D ... now all I have to do is wait for the 7th book.

I watched a Biography show on her and she just basically laughed when they talked about the people who said he book supported wicca

a good friend of mine told me that theres supposed to be 8 books.......she's pretty into harry potter so i would definately believe her...anyone else heard that? she said theres supposed to be the 7 years of hogwarts and then another year afterwards.

Nope. On that Biography show JK Rowling held up a notebook with the last chapter of book 7 which she said was "an epilouge for those who survive"

I just finished it and it left me empty too ; ;. Dumbledore was my favorite character and now he's dead >_<; I really think Dumbledore and Snape has something planned out though. Kinda like the Luke and Obi-wan deal lol. XD

Yeah, it was ruined for me too. Ironically by another thing I read on the internet. Anyway it was a really solid book. I look foward to the conclusion.
