Be honest, do you still have the CG movie at the start before the character select screen?

Ive had it up since I reinstalled and I always end up watching that first 10 seconds of it where the crystal just spins lol.

I end up watching the whole thing every time I reinstall it, so 4 times so far. After that I just disable it.
I like the battle at the first half but the drama with the 2 kids towards the end of it is stupid imo.

ive always wanted to make a fight scene like that. but i dont have a clue how. lol

and did anyone make the connection of the opening movie to the lord of the rings? its very similar.

I still have it enabled, I didn't know that I could skip it lol. I just hit the space bar as soon as I see the blue crystal.

You can disable it in the little FFXI Config tool. lol

the same place where you adjust the screen resolution for the game.

I have it on still and I am very impress how art and grafx were put together. but one thing still make me sad is little boy is only sole survier (s?) that made it out of it.

edit: btw I knew there is a way to turn it off on PC but on ps2 its only shown if dvd-disk is still in ps2 I think not sure.

Turned that thing off after the first few rounds. Next expansion pack needs to update that movie to something sexier.

Wonder where the heck that kid ties into the story of FFXI anyways. . . They should've added an ingame CS for the ruins in Sauromange Champaign (sp?) lol. That'd be pretty wicked. For any of you that haven't checked out the ruin yet (the stone ruin for the Selbina Crawler's Nest map quest) I suggest checking it out, just to hear what happened there. ^^;; I gotta check out some of the other nation's story lines. . . considering I already know San d'Oria's.

o@ Another thing I find odd. . . most quests related to Monk are in Bastok; while in reality the best Monk's came from San d'Oria. . . o_o something wrong with how they spread out quests I guess. ; ;

I disagree with your monk argument. As a whm I think I can safely say that Elvaan monks steal too much hate and die too much lol. I like Tarutaru and Mithra monks the best

Lol that actually isn't an arguement, it's part of the Monk storyline as far as the AF goes. They explained that Davoi was kinda where the Monk's of San d'Oria were trained. Oggbi says Tarutaru are weak, (this is during the Temple Hose CS) but asks for my friggin help. . . I'm a tarutaru. (I Don't Understand) Lol.

I hope ToA has a movie style opening, would be nice to see more cgi than just auto cutscenes.

Tarutaru Monks, are not weak.

I choose to wear gears like evasion torque and rest feet +1, since I went for evasion and counter merit.

Why, cus taru just have less HP and need more ways of deflecting attacks.
