Okay...Yarr's nostalgia threads got me thinking...what was your first ohmygodiamsocoolnow in-game epiphany?

Mine was actually getting my chocobo license when I first got to Jeuno. And the first three in-game days I just sat around waiting for time to pass because I didn't know there was any area to level close to Jeuno and I didn't want to make that terrible journey through Jugner and Batallia again to feed the choco. Back then it was so much fun to ride a chocobo, just because I could :)

lol mine was "omg must pass azn". i beat him to 75 too haha he stopped his theif at 74 then lvled nin and i hit 75 when his nin was like 73 i think. first goal that didnt relate to another person would of been getting rank 10 all nations which im still not at yet haha

im not really sure, im not diehard ffxi player guy. so i dont lvl much, hitting level 30 and level 50 were the biggest accomplishments for me

sub job was my biggest accomplishment back in the day lol. Choco I didn't even pay attention too, I think I ended up finishing the quest when I was lvl 25 lol

My first real goal was getting blm af2. I saw a black mage wearing it and my jaw dropped. I told yarr while we heading to sky and told him what i saw, he then told me you'll get it one day. I thought he was crazy.

i wanted to be the highest level white mage, but when i started perma partying i didnt care about that any more. plus toady was like 10 full levels higher than any other white mage so it was hopeless

I'm pretty sure I was the first NA to break the level 50 cap... I thought I was hot shit at the time, even though I basically just tagged along with soem 60+ JPs in the area and looted the drop.

And I think I killed Vivacious Vivan with 1 group that time with Ilmaterrori ( back when he was a black mage) that was fun. Hell just Duoing with Ilm was always fun... it was like being able to solo as a Brd but without the 3 hours per kill.

I also wanted to be the first NA 75 bard... Not sure if I made it what with the 2 week breaks I liked to take when the grind got to me, but I'm pretty sure Kaylaa wasn't really NA, and a lot of the other bards quit or stalled around 73-74

yea there was always the small group of NA that were just way higher than anyone else, being Vurin Lamont Toady Kayne and a few others

It was just easier to get JP PTs, you may not be aware yarr but a lot of the first Nas to get 60+ were shown to be real pricks and overall troublesome to deal with in the longrun. I seriously didn't have a single friend besides Kayne, and even he thoguht I hated him more oftent han not.

It was easier to avoid immature NA bullshit and group with JPs, I'm sure there was immatture JP bullshit going on, but ignorance is bliss.
