I played the fist .hack. It was kinda bland, the fighting was pretty boring, the dungeons lacked any variety. The storyline was ok I guess.

I dunno if anyone else had this, but I had the copy machine for SuperNintendo that lets you copy games onto floppy disk. I had like every single game including japanese ones. Some of the JP rpg/strategy games were awsome although i just have to feel my way through the game since i dont' know any jp.

Super Robot War series was awsome too for those who were into gundam and all the old robot animes.

After reading all of this, i can't beleive nobody mentionned Super Mario RPG... This game was like... wow :D

*7th Saga (Omg, I flippin HATE this game, but Love it at the same time ; ;. I never got to beat it b/c my nephew deleted my game when I was like 150hours into it. This has got to be one of the most challenging RPGs I've ever played aside from FF8. So, 7th Saga gets honarable mention. I almost beat it. )

erm Chrono trigger was a sweet game as well,
and Mario RPG, and Lunar, and um i cant think of anymore...

well since a lot of you mentioned chrono cross (or trigger). does anyone remember the end credits song to Chrono Cross? Radical Dreamers unstolen jewel or something. the one with the japanese woman singing and the acoustic guitar?

i've been trying to learn to play that song... i suck
