I was thinkin abt buying one of thoe MotoROKR Phones from Cingular. I need a 3rd phone anyway because my brother uses all my minutes calling his g/f from work (she lives with us and uses my moms phone.) MY question is, will i be able to use my existing music files on it? I'm not talking abt Pirating, i do have actual CDs that i have converted to MP3 on my PC. Someone told me if you get an iPod it makes you use the Itunes Store and you have to have all the proper licenses in order to play the song. Some of my CDs came out before MP3's even existed in mainstream form. So i don't want to have to go buy all my songs 1 by 1 at the iTunes store in order to use my phone. Does anyone with this phone or an iPod know if i can use any type of MP3 file?

For all that the iPod is, I would just get a 1~2 gig flash memory MP3 player. iPod's are crap IMHO. It's a $3~600 problem you dont need.

I'm not buying an actual ipod, i'm buying the phone that has MP3 playback with iTunes. I figure ipod uses itunes so they would have similar features
