this pretty old, I'm sure a lot of you have probably visited the site or been sent a link to it before. Basically you take a song or band you like and it creates a radio station based on your selection. The radio station will play the song/band you picked as well as a bunch of other random stuff based upon the individual aspects of the song/band you picked. For example: one of my fav. stations is sigur ros radio, when I ask it why it played a certain song, it gives me feedback like:
Quote:
Baed on what you've told us so far, we're playing this track because it features mild rhythmic syncopation, mixed acoustic and electric instrumentations, major key tonality, and many other similarities identified in the music genome project
it also gives you the options to skip songs you don't like, buy the album/artist from amazon etc etc. It's pretty cool, and when my boring cd collection at work loses it's flare i can turn to the site for some decent tunes to get me through the day. It used to be like a 10hour free trial and then you had to subscribe to hear more, but now they're offering it for free so long as you don't mind the mild ads on the site (no pop-ups as of yet). scheck it out.
