ok I'm a noob and never thought that whm or smn was useful in ballista so i never bothered getting my license. well, a friend of mine forced me to get it and partake in my first ballista last night. zomg! that shit is so much fun! I spent the majority of time running away from large galka monks who were looking to bruise my tender smn bottom, but I would usually run them right into a large gather of my teammates and they would get owned (I found this extremely hilarious too btw) ALSO, at the start of the match I ran in and astral flowed them hitting 4 ppl for 700 and killing one <fun> all in all i finished with 2 petras scored and like 91 ballista points, i think i ranked 32/32, not bad for my first time. Can't wait to try again, someone share some funny ballista stories, i'd love to hear them.

Handy tip for you if you're going to go SMN in Ballista.

You can't sleep Diabolos. Period.

diablos is pretty powerful in pvp i think, seeingas nether blast isnt rangeable you can do 500 dmg or so without being ranged or slept.

In my opinion, smn have it rough in ballista and generally most of them suck and should probably leave.. however there are some smn who actually know good tactics (especially with Diabolos now) who can really annoy the shit out of the other team. It's rare to find them though, most just complain that they are being targetted.

whm on the other hand is pretty deadly if played right. There are a lot of whm/nin who think they are going to melee galka mnks, which is a joke lol. But most whm/rdm I've seen have the endurance to wear out most opponents, and hexa strike is no laughing matter.

haha hell yeh, I hit a galka sam wth nightmare last night, totally stuck, then my teammates quickly dismantled him. Man it sucked tho, the one i went to yesterday was lvl 60 cap so I couldn't hit folks with nether blast (since running out of range of bps seems to be the trick with smns) I tried this bp out in dynamis yesterday and it really works.. nether blast hit everytime on kited mobs. However, it seems like you must have him engaged to the mob first (i tried to nether blast a rabbit in w ron from like 2 feet away and kept getting a "that target is out of range" error) any otehr useful tips for smn?

I just got my license lol, but I had a ton of fun and am willing to go again whenever/ whatever cap. I would actually prefer uncapped seeing as how i hate lugging around mutiple sets of gear, but like I said i'm not biased.. drop me a tell tonight I get on about 7pm est. we'll find out when the next match is ^^

I love my WHM in Balista. I wish I had a RDM sub though. I remember the first Balista game I played with kayne and vurin. We had like 20 people playing. It was retarded fun and I was the only person smart enough to silence people (and have echo drops) lol. It was like a day or two after balista was first introduced.

I don't ballista on summoner much cuz if you don't have a good team your bound to get raped (( although I get raped alot on BST too. . . .damn me and my love for low defense jobs. . . ))

BUT I did pwn the shit out of my arch nemesis Stronglady the other day, lol. That bitch raped my BST over and over in 60 cap (( I didnt have my friends osode or jelly ring or soil ring for my defesnes >< ))

SO I came back to uncapped with smn. Diablolos can't be slept by black magic, (( Bards can sleep him though I believe. ))

It was alot of fun lol, Netherblast pwns right trhough shadows, so sissy blink tanks can't avoid it. that bitch stronglady had about 400 HP and led me off away from everyone thinking she would 1 shot me, i got diablos out and chased her- she came right up to me (( big mistake )) WSed me, i had 200 hp left, and boom she dies from netherblast lol.

Another time that night she had low hp again, i snuck up on her and BAM Netherblast again.

Now shes pissed, and she wont come near me with low hp again. SO instead of netherblast I kept her slept with nightmare for a large remainder of the fight lol.

Ballista can make me really agry sometimes when bitches like her repeatedly kill me just because they can. (( On bst, wasting my jugs too. ))
But I got that bitch back so i'm happy now^^

surprisingly no one came after me at all, but then i did my best to like sneak around the edges of the battleground and keep invis up when i was gunning for someone and crap like that. I think it was a good 30mins or so before my first death and I only died 2-3 afterwards. That was with a whopping 4 pieces of gear on because i wasn't prepared for the cap. I wasn't really too concerned about kicking ass tho, I just was having a blast. I could see if someone was continually after me how that could get extremely annoying.

Also, I was wondering.. as a smn does your pt expect you to mostly get buffs up and cure as you would in a exp pt? Cuz ppl were getting pissed at me for not curing them.. but meanwhile i was quarry x-potions and elixers and shit out the ass.. why couldn't they just use that shit to cure themselves like i was?

People dont usually help out eachother in ballista like that, its kind of a fend for yourself situation in most cases. I do heal alot on summoner, but no one ever helps me when i get raped so I kinda get pissed off at that and stop curing people.

yeh i went with my buddy uraneko but we got seperated somehow (i guess asstock needed some sandorians to make it a fair match) so instead of us double teaming fools we just wound up dueling eachother the whole time lol

ya i use to end up playing on my own, not being able to get on same team as friend or w/e. I tried stupid stuff a lot of the time using garuda's dagger to shadowswitch or silence people. 2hr'ing and sprinting into the other team with poison on, they all try to sleep you and then your pet gets there with all their sleeps down. Quarrying for revitalizers and only 2hr'ing the whole match, that was the best i killed lots of people, they really didnt expect my 2hr so much i guess. Hahah ; ; but so many deaths in the process, some lucky times too @@; like some mnk elv came after me and i managed to survive his asuran fists and someones savage blade, incense>>petra eatter>> /sprint. Another time thf w/kraken a sam and rdm came after me, incense saved me again >_< along with the timer. I play whm/nin lately for ballista, great one on one but really no dmg like smn can do.

Jim I'm gonna work on getting something to 75 then we can work out a 3 person plan for ballista lol
