I still play because there just always something new to do, I figure its worth the $12 or so per month to keep playing something I continue to enjoy than have to buy a new $50 game ever 3 months because I beat the last one.

That and of course the community is awesome. Make friends across the world and across the room at the same time? yes please.

As to addicted...nah, well maybe just a little.

I play because I yet have much to see and experience. Despite installing FFXI the day after launch, I'm only Level 67...I still have many goals. Beat CoP, do some Dynamis, do some Limbus, beat Bahamut's 2nd BC, and several others. Playing at a slow and steady pace means not being burnt out on FFXI, and ensures plenty of fresh content for quite some time.
