However, when im trying to run the update for FFXI...it either freezes or restarts. (Please) (Help me out!)

More information on the installation problem. Error message? What stage its at? What percent? Have you left it "frozen" for a long time?

Some programs appear to be "frozen" when they are actually still doing their work. They can still give "Not Responding" messages and do their work.

When it does, its a full freeze. As-in the numlock key wont respond. I get to scaning the files (step #1), then it either freezes or reboots.


This is really pissing me off. I dont have much more money atm to make my computer run. Joys of comp repair and college books. ;-;

I switched to pc2700, I will inform if this fixes this.
