hey i like poetry, get over it, and i think another poetry thread couldnt hurt, here is what i wrote for english class a few days ago (i had to stand on the teachers dek and read this, mines the only one that didnt make sense) but i like it anyway
The sea level rises as my eyes fade deeper
deeper into the blue of an Arizona sunset
a shade of blue that can defy all laws of nature as we well know it to be true
dark blue dark blue, little fluffy clouds
and a never ending sky that connects the earth to the heavens
sharp like the edge of a subtle knife cutting deeper
deeper into your throat
but its not your fault, it never is
the heat is to hot, the pressure to strong
crooked feathers on a lifeless bird cold and dead
drowning in a puddle of its own tears and blood.
I see it now, its all becoming clear
what I seek is respect, but the sacrifice is far to great.
Equivalent exchange? It means nothing.
My obsession, my fetish
both have run dry
I can sing, I can scream
nothing seems to break through these walls of silence
yet the soft whispers still seep in, finding their way through each crack
no thicker than a single strand of hair.
I look up, I see nothing
I look down, I see shadows
To my left, I see a window. And to my right, a door
behind me a wall, and in front a long hall that leads to freedom and illusions of whats not really there
im just a ghost, a ghost in the shell.
No feelings no emotion
not even the sense of being alive
what is only the stale taste of what never was, and what never will be., and what never will be.
