another quest.. looks like starting up the 18 man avatar battles..

Waking the Beast
Client: Carbuncle (La Theine Plateau)
Summary:
Carbuncle wants you to visit all the
protocrystals and gather the
elemental energy of the sleeping
gods. Will their imminent awakening
mean fortune or doom for Vana'diel?
Only Carbuncle's ancient friend at the
Full Moon Fountain may know...

Looks like a decent amount of new shit to do.. no telling how fun/useful it will be.

Anyone want to do these? I'd like tou nless you need to have beaten the avatars previously. I'd like to get Titan's Baselard, or do an old one and get garuda's dagger if anyone still needs it.

I bet the price on the enchanment: haste and enchantment: evasion+15 pieces are gonna sky rocket because of crappy ninja.

lol the enchantment shit on the hydra stuff is lame... some of that armor would be awesome if that refresh was not enchantment but just there lol

the hydra equip that isn't all jobs is Rare/EX and I know atleast the pants with the Haste enchantment is 1/1 charge with a 20minute reuse. takes 3 seconds to use it.

If this is an 18 man thing, then perhaps they're looking to add more power to the summons?

Not bad then for a piece to use right before you pop something like Byakko then change gear. Might have it's uses since it's 1/1 20min.

Moogle raspody is resist against Confusion..

Which means confusion is either going to be a spell or a mob attack (or even both) implemented.

The other one resists charm btw.

How the Latents on the avatar wepons work :
A summoner must have that avatar summond in the party / allaince in order for the wepon to gain the latent effect. It works with carbuncles pole and titans dagger so far

What does titan do that warrants his presence? Earthen ward is nice, but what attacks does he get? And is his melee damage decent enough?
