so I made a new mule last night and it's now the 3rd character I started in sandy(my other mule and first character on Bahamut before Ifrit) and I've gotten a different cutscene when starting each time. So I was wondering how many different starting cutscenes there are for each city.

To the best of my knowledge there are at least 6 for each city (at least for sandy anyway) There are 2 for each zone you can start in (south, north & port in sandy) which break down further via race. For sandys its Elvaan vs Non-elvaan, so my belief is that it would be Hume & Galka, vs non Hume & Galka for Bastok, and of course Taru-tarus and Mithra for Windy. Its been a while since I've made a character so I apologize if this is incorrect, its just my observations from the times I've made mules (8 to date).

as far as I remember, it all depends on race and job as to where the start points are.

I had two different start points as a sandy mithra for my mules, once in port and once in south, lol

I had one for my Mithra THF on Bahamut (accident) where I met Ajido (or maybe it was his sister), I think.
Then my next one was with Nanaa Mihgo and the S.O.B.s

hmm, i think the 2 i have had for sandy both started in Nsandy

I think it's just random where you start, because I've been in a couple of different places in San d'Oria when making a character.
