Well this was my first expierence at Jacon, the illustratious Anime convention of central florida. First, Jacon should never attempt to run a SSBM tourney ever again... that being said on to the sights.

1st Amazing moment:
4 guys walking down the hallway, dressed in what could only be described as the hooker outfit hookers don't wear because it makes them look slutty. Thats not the end of the show though, each guy has a sign sewn to their shirt saying YAOI. And the the tallest guy had a leash chain being held by the shorter one. Yes, never again do I want to see this again. I'm open minded, but no.

2nd amazing moment:
They have a YAOI pajama party setup in one of the halls....

3rd Amazing moment:
Acutally words said from a complete stranger to me at the SSBM tourney room... "Dude I hope the first place prize is hentai.. I need some hentai down here so bad!" He then giggled like a school girl...

4th amazing moment:
The hottest two cat girls I have ever seen chasing each others tail down the hallways... no amount of wording can describe the utter hotness that these two girls had when I saw them running around like this

5th Amazing moment:
The family of cosplay, mother and father were cosplaying as something I never seen before, daughter was some school girl costume, and the what could only have been the grandma was dressed as what I think was ChiChi from DBZ... after a certain age even I would make the concession and not cosplay!

6th Amazing Moment:
Walking into the 24hr video game room and being assaulted by every person in the room's body odor all at once... i mean it was seriously so bad the water on the table was smelling like sweat... I even made the mistake of drinking the water, so i know it tasted like sweat too...

7th Amazing Moment:
Finding out every one had the same gamr t shirts that I had, I fealt so not unique... almost like all the mofos raided my closet.

8th Amazing Moment:
Watching everyone go to the masquerade ball in full military dress... yes people came in full metal alchemist military uniform... including the 7 foot behemoth that walked past me.. he was a 7 ft 400 pound Mustang... thats not right!

9th Amazing Moment:
Watching the girl dressed as the big brown thing that always eats kitten in the "funny" internet pictures do break dancing...

10th amazing moment and my favorite:
Seeing everyone get attacked by the "Free Hug" girl for not taking her free hugs and running away as she tried to hug everyone in the immediate vicinity screaming its free hugs! At this moment is when I noticed the YAOI gang was arguing with some guys on the balcony above all of us, and threatened to rape them...

I was very mad about the tourney, they did it the worst possible way they could, it was absoultly the worst setup ever... 150 people and they only had one copy of SSBM for the tourney... they played 4v4 for a tourney... who the hell does that for comp play... anywayz all in all the other sights made it a diffrent expierence then I'm used to. Found some pretty hot anime movies playing in the rooms, so it wasn't a total waste.

I don't know I got upset with the whole 4v4 thing and decided not to play, they also had these extremely old controllers it seems, the springs in the A button were worn out, and they wouldn't let me use my wavebird... the tourney took until like 1 in the mornin or something, i went to the club.. wasn't gonna sit in the room with that sweat smell for 4 hours watching a badly run ssbm tourney... god the idea still aggravates me.

lol poor ponuh, i don't understand it either and I'm a part of it... I still can not determine why I will be dressed as a dragoon next year... but yes I will be dressed as a dragoon next year... and I have no idea why the idea seems awesome to me, but it does... its a vicious cycle and I have no way out!

I would not know what to say to someone if they said that to me. I still don't get why people like to beat off to cartoons. The scary thing is if they like cartoon porn, then they must also think the girls in disney movies are hot. Instead of normal children that seriously care for the well being of the protagonist, these kids were probably like "oh god, Jasmine, ya i'd fuck that punjabi." Pretty weird stuff.



This seriously puts a bad taste in my mouth...thinking about all those fat cheeto fingers in the 24hr videogame room, and the body odor, god that makes me feel like I've just been raped. Never make me picture that again.

If team damage was on in SSBM, just make it a 1v3v4, lol.

I don't use A much anyways, just throw them or use special attacks a lot.

I was so frustrated with that, I couldn't feel the A button push down, it was like a flat circle... made it rediculous hard to use any tilt combos, plus it would throw my timing off for my short jumps and wavedashing... all they had to do was let me use my wavebird.

Besides they only had one copy of the game, you don't play touney smash unless its 1v1 or if its 2v2. free for all is just a stupid way to do a tournament... it ends up being who hides the best...

They had a naruto tourney also at the same time, again with only one copy of the game... that was a kickass fight though, I'd definitely have to get a copy of naruto and try it out, looked fun.

Naruto: Clash of Ninja? It's a cool game but just wait for the second one that's coming here soon. The first one has about 10 people to play as iirc.

SSBM = Super Smash Brother Melee (one of the greatest fighting games in existance in my opinion along with Marvel vs Capcom and Soulcaliber series)

Yeah, but the game didn't look that expensive, if its like one of those 30 dollar budget titles I might pick it up just to have the first one before the second one comes out, game looked decent, had some nice juggling potential, and the characters were very nicely "drawn". The action looks like it could get fast really quick too, but the thing is some of the characters looked unbalanced... like the Demon Naruto was sick at times... thats usually the case though with a good fighting game right?

Kyuubi Naruto isn't hard to counter, you just have to watch out for his special move. And Armani is cheap and copies all of my techniques with Sharingan Kakashi

ooooo god yeah super smash is one of my favorite games of all time, im entering a tournament for it this summer

I'm signed up for about 3 tournaments a month for the rest of the year right now for SSBM. And I have a smash practice session every week with some people in the area. Going to do the MLG Tournaments next year, hopefully I get to face Ken. If i can manage first place for every local tournament this year I can bring in an extra 2k a month besides what i make working. This was supposed to be a fun tourney but the jacon people really dropped the ball on planning for it.
