I just got home from watching this movie. It is MUCH better than the first one imo, and the gal who plays Jill Valentine is hawt...

***Spoiler****

My Favorite part at the end is where the evil guy dude gets thrown out of the helicopter and heads for the gun and starts shooting the zombies coming for them. When he decides to kill himself and then hears that *Click click* that's a freaking sucky way to day, but awsome to see...

*********** End Spoiler *********

GO SEE IT NOW

I enjoyed it a lot

but many reviewers didn't lol.

Hell, some people expected MORE than mind-numbing action...you'd have to play the game for that effect.

Did paul anderson do the second one....

/em leaves to go look

blah he did. That guy is the sterotypical "hollywood" writer. He takes a scrip started by someone else and "makes it hollywood" adding bullet time effects and other "fad" fx to a movie.

The original Resident Evil was scripted by George A. Romero (the zombie god) and it was bloody well brillent. It was so good I read the script. The movie followed so well to the game and still had a full spooky feel to it. However, the hollywood executives decided it wasnt "flashy" enough and scapped it for something that would appeal to a wider varity of people. So good old Pauly was brought in. He rewrote the whole script not even bothering to make it resemble the original game.

oh and Milla Jovovich is hot. She was even hot in the Fifth Element.

Oh, it's nothing like RE series at all. Other than a nice little Code Veronica throwback.

And since Leon was killed off in movie teaser newspaper footage...yeah BOO.

1st one blew Yarr. I don't know what game you played, but the 2nd RE movie was more close to the game than the 1st. Probably becuase...well, who stays in large groups in the RE games?

Also the monsters in RE1 movie... all there were, zombies and a couple dogs (Which sucked btw) and a Licker.... which evolved (wtf?) into a Hunter... not to mention there was 0 scare factor.. seriously it was about as riviting as Napolean Dynomite...that part in the 1st movie where the girl suddenly opens her eyes in the water thing and puts her hand to the glass... WOOO never saw THAT one coming

The first one was cool.

Frankly I never saw the RE movies to be scared. They're action movies, not horror. Once again why they are nothing like the games.

I thought the reason they scrapped the first romero movie was b/c it was 'too violent'. I remember reading that somewhere.

I haven't seen the second one yet and probably won't untill it comes out on video. Lack of babysitters I trust.

George Romero = <3

I'm a big fan of zombie movies and this one was okay =/
It was closer to the game(s) though, I liked the look they gave Nemesis.
I still think George Romero wouldve made a much much better movie though...
Did you think this was a good zombie movie?....
Go watch the 80's movie "Day of the Dead" thats my #1 favorite...best up-close gore I've ever seen O_O!
