Right, so in an effort to add something to the forums that hasn't really been done formally, I'm going to be posting random reviews for stuff. It's kinda pointless, I know, but perhaps it will invite some more discussion. Please, I encourage anyone who's even the least bit interested in doing the same to do so.

Alright, so I'll assume most of you have seen Napoleon Dynamite at some point in time and have a certain opinion of it, whether or not you found it funny is paramount to how you'll feel about Nacho Libre. Jack Black in the role of the friar-gone-luchador is pretty hilarious, and there's just moments when a scene wouldn't be funny if it were someone else playing the character. His facial expressions alone tell a tale. Haha.

Most of the film is random, spontaneous, retarded sort of funny. But underneath the corn throwing eye gouge and midgets gone wild scenes, if you take a step back and look at the movie from another point of view, there's the typical underdog hero out to do good theme. It's just a great movie the first time around, and the parts you'd expect to be the funnier bits (like the scenes from the commercials) tend to get out shined by the totally bizzare stuff that goes on.

Overall, Nacho Libre is pretty damn entertaining, and well worth the price of admission. And considering how the summer movie season is going so far, that says alot. Haha.

Does it have alot of stupid "your butt is smelly! rub it on their face for a knockout *Cuckoo Cuckoo*" "You're right his butt IS stinky Ha ha!" humor in it because it was financed and aimed at the Nickelodean crowd?

I think this movie looks retarded as all hell, and with Jack Black in it, wow. Does anyone even like that guy? I hate how he's always making a fool of himself just to try way too hard to get people to laugh, and that makes it even less funny.

I think its refreshing for comedians and actors to laugh at themselves, like Jack Black. There's a method to his sense of humor. Now, if you want to talk about comedic prostitues, Tom Green is definitly way up there, but he's since dropped off the radar.

Anyway I know I'll probably end up seeing this movie, but I don't know when yet.

Jack Black has that benefeit of being both one of the most talented, least appreciated actors(King Kong, High Fidelity, School of Rock), with a voice as powerful as Meatloaf's(GOD if they ever Remade Rocky Horror Picture Show he would be so perfect in ML's old role), and the ability to take the humor any way he can - which is both respectable and demeaning.

I love half his work, and hate his other half, but at the end of the day I respect him as a triple threat of entertainment.

Yea, his music is pretty amazing. And.. the soundtrack to Nacho Libre is great too. There's a Beck song in it that's freakin' sweet as hell.

The movie is rated PG, there are like 3 funny PG movies ever. Review Over.

Oh well I don't think I would see it even if it was the funniest movie ever. All my friends are poor college students and will only use money on alcohol, so unless I want to see a movie by myself or with my mom it's a no go.

Yarr and I saw this movie Tuesday night and loved it! I love a good "stupid" movie that gives me a chance to laugh my ass off at silly things. I recommend seeing it if you're in need of a laugh. The stretching stances did it for me. lol

Yea, my friend's fiancee wouldn't shut the fuck up throughout the movie. I swear, something must be in her family's genes that make them annoying at movies. I almost punched her little brother in the face during Lord of the Rings. Haha.
