Where's Dick Cheney and George Bush (not W.)? I think they have more influence than most people give them credit for in the White House currently. Jeb might be too busy with Florida to help give his brother advice. Fun that there is lots of speculation on who is the puppet and who is the puppetmaster. People assume one person can't think on their own and is just blindly following, when their nation also might have something to gain.

Anyone remember the original attempt on the WTC? The one during the Clinton presidency that involved the vans driving into the parking garage and the terrorists failed due to a mixture of not using enough explosives and not placing the vans in the correct positions in the garage. If they succeeded back then, 9/11 would have happened in the Clinton presidency. Of course they failed, but that had nothing to do with Clinton, instead it was the terrorists who miscalculated. They of course were much more successful with a flying 2 airplanes into the buildings a few years later. Clinton also atttacked Iraq in Operation Desert Fox. You remember why? He just bombed Saddam's palaces, this made no fundamental changes in Iraq's government though. Saddam's son Uday was still free to rape women and put their husbands in Iron Maidens and all sorts of fun stuff like that.

I think Iraq's WMD's haven't existed since Operation Desert Storm. They did use SCUD missles during that war that contained a variety of poisonous gasses (even fired some into Israel). Of course the only other time I remember Iraq gassing people was when they gassed 100,000+ Kurds in Northern Iraq in the 80s. I am sure you all take all those things into account when forumulating your opinions.

I hear everything you're saying Eternus and its true, but that doesnt mean Iraq is by any stretch of the imagination where these things happen, or even the worst. There are scores of nations in Africa where the governments act just how Iraq's do, mass genocide, torture, secret police killing anyone they deem to be dangerous..you name it it happens but why does the world not really care about those?

And its not as if the quality of life for people in Iraq has got measurably better, not a day goes by in Bagdhad without a bomb going off killing innocent civillians as well as kidnapping and other things. You could argue that although maybe the country is more "morally better off", people are still dying

Where did I say Iraq was better off? I can refer to African nations that are worse off and make an example of them. If you want to talk about why nobody cares about Africa, then go right ahead. Anyone want to talk about the DeBeer's diamond empire and its continuance of slavery into modern day (gogo synthetic diamonds, hope they end up ruining DeBeer's)? You can almost always find several nations in worst shape, but how many are in better shape than Iraq was before this time the US decided to attack. Horrible things happen all over the world, hell some in this country. I believe we should focus on our own nation first, hence why I said I support Isolationalism. Although it seems a little too late for Isolationalism right now, we need solutions and Isolationalism is a just a goal. This country has a good deal of work to do before we can be self sufficient enough to Isolate effectively from the world. Getting out of the Middle East is just the beginning.

I suppose we will never really know who decided to invade iraq and what their intentions were. Why is the world so bloody complicated?

Oh this time around it was the US I would think, but it probably is alot more complicated than that. Doesn't matter anyways, the important part is finding a way out of the mess lmao. Either it happens with Bush in the White House (yeah fucking right) or with the next US President. I see absolutely nobody on the horizon that I feel is adequate enough to handle something like the current situation as far as presidential hopefuls are concerned.

Just out of interest, are non naturalUS citizens allowed to stand for president like Arnold did for governor, and if not...do you have to be able to prove your family has been US for a certain amount of time or could I emigrate there and my son stand for president?

I think the world is at a standstill as long as the Bush Family has any amount of power in anything. My cat would do a better job..

Right now Arnold can't run for president with our laws concerning foreign born citizens. I really don't think he would be a great idea either, but that would mainly be dependent on the people he chose to put in his cabinet and back him up as VP etc. As far as the current crop of Presidential hopefuls goes, its basically a crapshoot. I haven't heard anything concrete or substantial as far as ideas go from anybody that is supposedly running. Although some are pushing for ideas they have tried in the past to push on the country.

I really don't think the Bush family will run the US in any way after Dubya is done. Jeb is done as Florida's governor soon and I doubt he will run for President or win if he did. Would not be surprised if he ran for Senate or the House though. I really fucking hate the 2 party system so much. I am libertarian though in alot of my views lol.

It's not so much just the Bush family but all of the Big Energy industry. It runs the world, and it corrupts the world.
