Redesigning the ipod nano...
I guess this is them admiting without directly saying, the original casing on the nano is garbage. You literally breath on it, it got a scratch. Its using the aluminium casing that the Ipod mini used. Which makes it more scratch resistant.

They also made higher capacity ipods. up to 80gig models now. But still no true ipod video.

Also they introduced movie downloads, and coming next quater, itv.

A device that streams your media from your computer to, your tv using this device.

Most movies atm are disney movies. Prices go from 14.99 new movies to 9.99 for older movies.

Why would I spend 10-15 bucks on a digital movie when the DVDs are of similar price? I only really indulged in iTunes when something was really rare.

I'm excited. I jumped on board at 30gig video and that's where I'm staying until probably 2-3rd gen PodPhone.

Are they dropping the price of any of the older models? I have a Gen 2 (or 3? one before all the color/photos/fancy shit) 20gig and I kinda wand to upgrade soon. I have like 10 gigs of music that won't even fit on it. ; /

Get a video. It's by far the best iteration of the iPod yet. The video is cool sometimes if youw ant to show your friend The Aristocrats or some Pearl Jam video or something. The battery life is incredibly long lasting when playing music too. I forgot to charge mine for a school trip back (7 hours on the bus). There was just a tiny, tiny sliver of red battery left and it lasted the whole time. This is definately the right time to buy, I'd say.

gay gay gay gay gay. just get an ipod video 30 gig, and you can put all the music you could possibly listen to in a day and back up files from your hard drive.

Yeah I have a 30GB Ipod w/ Video and its hot shit. I don't have a shitload of videos on it, but I do use it for that sometimes. I have about 15 gigs of music though. Battery life is about 6-7 hours, I usually use it at work almost all day.

Gotta use a cover or an invisible shield like I have. It's basically a scratch proof, ultra strong coating that goes on around the ipod. I carry it in the same pocket as my keys and it still has no scratches on it.

Haha I was literaly going to buy a new iPod today. My 6gig mini just isn't cutting it anymore, But I've always loved the casing. I was actually going to get a 60gig, but now it looks like its completely phased out for the 80gig, for the same price. Looks like I'll be going for the 80gig.
