how about we just stop the stupid japanese players who camp HNMs that drop stuff they dont need. They only camp it beacuse they see us in the zone and dont want us getting the items. Hell one person even admited that to me.

really the only way to solve the problem, since you can't get rid of the botters, is if they would make HNMs that drop items for quests etc.. or even the really good items, instances. I also think SE needs to think sometimes about their placement of such items-ie Bard AF being in the same coffer as astral rings o_O I can understand making these things hard to get.. but its kind of silly to put such valuable items together making it ridiculous to get. They could make the instances themselves difficult to get to(have to fight through different events or something) so its not just to organize a bunch of people, and win a voke vest. Kind of offset the challenge of a voke vest, which is only 1 person can win and thats it, to something thats still difficult, but everyone doesn't walk away disappointed because of what they think is a cheater.

When I used to play FPS I just sort of came to the realization that cheaters will always exist, and theres really nothing you can do to stop them. So you either deal with it the best you can, or you stop playing and go elsewhere. the fact that some JP players camp hnms for items that they are just going to throw out is pretty stupid though on their parts. I guess though they say play the game for enjoyment, and if them acting like 3 year old retards makes them happy....

Apparently a lot of us DID used to work with them. Then they got all greedy and stuff, LS hopping for loot and pulling this sorta stuff on us. Did we do anything to provoke it? We really don't know...

As for /em humps <t>. I think it's amazing how they claim not to understand english if you try talking to them (before AND after), but they of course know enough to understand you if they want to.

lol i can relate with Ket... ive been in Parties with JP players they all talk english to me as im a bard and they want me there... then i send a msg as /anon another day and they say they dont understand (im surprised they dont recognise my name but i guess i dotn rememeber everyone i play with either or maybe they play with names off)

im interested in this PS2 thing... maybe ill buy a ps2 copy when CoP comes out instead.....

yeah I can definitely attest to ps2 stuff loading faster, but you can simluate this on your pc just by setting all the graphics options way way down, and going into the same resolution. On sunday my computers power supply went caput so I had to play on the ps2, it drove me nuts to run through jeuno cause normally I can just run freely until people load (I have kind of alousy graphics card in my main box b/c my good one has some conflict with my MB :/).. w/ the ps2 everyone would load so fast that I'd have to run through everyone to get near enuf to the AH either in lower or port.. I guess next time I'll just go up to the gardens one

Just a note that someone mentioned about Valkurm Dunes. As far as I know, monsters that you catch from fishing will no longer aggro anyone other than the person who fished them up.

So you're now safe exping off the crabs in Valkurm and along the cliffs of Qufim and such. This is especially important in SSG with the Stygian Pugils.

I wouldnt like to think most of these JP players that are asses to us, of the ignorance of certain NA players. Yes there are the bad oranges and good oranges on either side. Most of my JP friends have delt with a lot of crap from NA players, but still took the choice of not being gay about whatever we did.
But i do know a few JP players that do not tolerate the fact that we (NA's) changed the whole prespective of the game, of which i'm 100% correct. Not that it is a bad thing, the way the game is as of now satisfies me, but if any of you didnt know, Most to maybe all prespectives of the game changed once it was released here on US.
I'm not taking places of course, as i said, the game is the way it should be, but when i spoke with a certain JP player/NA hater, he told me that things were much different before NA release, and now they wanna do to us what we did to them in a sort of way. Knowing they cant change much he sais, the only way to piss us off is by taking advantage of server ping.
Now i understand this might be one of maybe many reasons why some JP players do these horrid things to us, but i'm just sharing what i heard.
In any case, i do not agree with their approach in any way/form, but i can understand and live with what they do.
To see kayne's black belt slip away because of a JP's idiotic way of revenge is quite sad, but it doesnt mean they'll be around everytime.

just to add a spice to the discussion, let's name our favorite JPs that we have met

personally, the nicest a JP has ever been to me was a rank 10 JP leathercrafter (know this because you can see his name all over the AH for +1 leathercraft items) of who i can't remember his name. I was helping a friend level in valkurm on a rank 2, with no sub, and asked if he would like to join up with us. He responded in broken but understandable english and said that he would. He joined the party and even tried talking to some of the newbs in the party to give them advice. Of course, everyone could tell that he wasn't exactly an expert at english, but he was giving it more effort than most JPs would do for 5 kraken clubs. Such a simple thing really made me happy

The best JP players i have ever met have to be: Small(helped me with ninja quest, utsusemi, and most other scrolls, incluiding fame), Strawberry(of which i still teach english to[and she teaches me JP^^]), Shcffsclina(Not really a good player, but super awesome to talk to[Helped him alot!]) and last but not least, Wolfwolf.

of the jps that I've pt'd with I've always had good experiences. We knew from the start that there was some animosity on both sides, but I never would've dreamed that people would be so petty and childish as to camp hnms just for the sole purpose of screwing someone out of an item.

There have been times when our perm pt has only been like 3 members (whm brd pld is usually our solid core.. nowwe have a rdm and a mnk, and around 55 we'll pick up another mnk.. ) and we've recruited a jp player to the pt. Mythrandir is an autotranslator god and usually the pts go quite well, even w/ changing the SC around occassionally, giving different magic bursts or skills to use.

I guess I don't understand people hating someone else they've never met-to me theres no excuse in that. The EU people are joining the servers now, and I look forward to the changes they'll bring to the game (hopefully crystal prices will go down *crosses fingers.. KILL BATS PEOPLE KILL BATS! anything that drops wind crystals :P ) If you wanted to get mad at someone for introducing an unwanted aspect to the game that can't be controlled, blame the makers, not the players.
