So how is this new feature? Ive read a little about it on the BG forums, but Id like to here from you guys.

You can ride the chocobo right? They come in different colours and what not right?

So is it fun? Is it rewarding? I think it looks like a pretty awesome feature. I wish I could have raised a Red Chocobo myself for Yarr lol.

Its really good.

Takes a while to get it, and its a pain in the ass because
you have to keep checkin for it; kinda like raising a baby.

Its very handy. I set homepoint to Aht White Gate, and if i take
the ship back to mhaura its a long walk to Mea crystal.

Saves you a ton of time.

Yes, after 30 long days, and taking long walks with your
chocobo, you have to find a whistle that the chocobo has been hiding.
Once you do, you get the whistle, trade it with the npc and ur all rdy.

I really need to start that quest. I had no interest when all I heard, was people bitching about their chocobo being moody and having to take care of it so often. Now that people are riding them, I want one

What areas/zones can't you call it in? All I've heard so far is dungeons and Ice zones.

You can ride them anywhere the rentable ones can be ridden.

I think they are a little slower though, or its just my perception.

Cooldown is 5 minutes. 25 charges on the whistle before you pay like 200g to recharge it, or something.

Their speed is based on their stats, so they start off slower than regular chocos, but as you breed stronger ones and stuff, they should get faster and faster.

And yah, you can only call them in zones that are chocobo-accessible via rented ones.

ive yet to even buy my egg. i was totally against this when i heard about it cause i thought it sounded stupid. but now, it seems real cool. all my friends love this feature and after hearing about it now, how you can ride it and stuff, im gonna get an egg asap!

My chocobo is an adolescent atm. I haven't checked on her in about 5 days though. She was sick last time and I had to feed her a certain food to make her feel better. I am a little annoyed that you go through all this BS to raise a chocobo and you can at best have one that is a little faster than a rental and still only callable in the same zones (no ice zones when mazurka works there wtf). Some of the better foods do cost some gil too. The cooldown on the whistle is not bad and neither is the amount of gil to recharge it. I need to get in game more and not ignore my chocobo, having a hard time with that.

The only thing I liked about my first chocobo was that I grew maybe 60 carrots to sell and make 800k.

Mine got sick and when I fed it the special grass it was still sick, so I let it sleep for a day.

It actually evolved when it was sick, which prolly isn't good. I'll check on it today to see if its an adult.

Its a huge waste of money, For those of us that are constantly poor (like myself lol) Its hard to feed it the right foods to make its stats go up. Oh well, I got a Blue one and I am gonna mate it with my wife's choco I hope.

I didn't have the money for good food so my chocobo is slow, weak, and constantly sick/injured. lol

It's cool to be able to whip out a chocobo when you use an outpost warp though.(if it's ridable in the zone you warp to)

Sounds kinda dumb. Sounds like another SE thing where it's super drawn out for just for something a little bit better. I bet u can barly see the difference next to a rental. Grats u wasted a bunch of time and Gil for little difference.

It's not all the useless, the areas and their ways of transpot certaintly accommodates the ability to call a choco anywhere. The warp--taru warped me right at the zone of Sauromugue Champaign and Meriphataud Mountains lol
