So I went home this past weekend to help clean out the attic and found this shit in a box, wow what memories!

Image

Before Nintendo Power!

Image

Nintendo Power #1 came in this package! My life was forever changed after.

Image

Nintendo Power #1 July/August 1988, that's 18 years ago man!

Image

whoa, GamePro Issue #1

Image

EGM volume 1, issue 2 and some other classics!

What you know about that?
Anyone else have something classic?

OMG Mike Tyson's Punchout was awesome. I'd spend hours on that game getting nowhere.

I believe I've got an old NES power joystick board thing, as well as the game 1941. But I don't have my NES anymore

Hmm I would have to go into the attic to find all of my really old gaming shit. I had all of those magazines as well. I think I had a Nintendo Power subscription for over 3 years actually. I remember the Final Fantasy strategy guide haha.

My Mom sold my childhood in a garage sale along with my NES, Aliens action figures, and old games like Tyson's punch out.

I have the final fantasy strategy guide in my bookshelf in my room. haha.

I had a subscription to Nintendo Power and Gamepro for awhile (A long time after both were released, I think), but I haven't kept any of them. I have the FFI guide from someone I bought it from after I got into RPGs.

I do have most of my old manuals from my (S)NES games, though, including the map that came with the original zelda game... including my little penned-in drawings for the squares on the map that were left blank.

Man, good times.

When I moved in March a full attic/basement search yeilded nothing of importance, value, or sentiment. lol

We did find my sister's ex-boyfriend's baseball cards from when he was a kid though haha he had moved in and brought along all his crap. Even had an atari 2600 but didn't have the right wires to work it.

I am a packrat at video games.. I'll post pics one day.

When I moved to FL I had 3.. yes 3 full sized 3x3x3 cube boxes full of video game magazines... needed a handtruck to move each one.

Then came the game boxes, father used to be head mechanic for la guardia airport when i was younger, I had a shitload of those crashproof anti-static chests the planes had back in the day. Everything from nintendo games to Jaguar games, systems and everything all mint condition.

Can't unpack the boxes because they unpack to way more space then they take up packed... so my childhood sits in my closet right now.

I did take the courage to unpack the turbographix box, god i still love keith courage or whatever that robot thing was... cool game

nothing still makes you feel as happy as playing old school sonic 2 on a genesis controller.
