I never met anyone in my life who wasn't recruited and male. All guys get recruited, and I went to private schools my entire life. Still got recruitment papers.

Know kids who were homeschooled, and got recruitment papers. Its pretty much an automatic thing, if your male, you will get hit for it. You always have the option to say no.

Regardless of what comments you want to say about their garbagy commercials, they never pretend its Mcdonalds and your getting a Big Mac. You always know its the military, and that line you sign, always looks like a death warrant. Some people like that, I sort of like it, maybe its the blood. But I had other callings. Some other people do to.

I don't think they make a "major" effort to target a particular demographic as much as a particular demographic just bites more. Don't get me wrong, they do look for particular races and types, they profile the people they go for. But as far as general recruiting goes, there isn't some devilish guy with a top hat and cane pointing at the projects in new york saying mwahahah lets go get those poor improvished kids, tell them its disney world!
