So, I ran the five mile portion of the Spokane marathon this last sunday with two of my friends and I really had a blast. My dad ran the full marathon and my mom ran the half marathon. I'm pretty proud of my time, considering that with my new job I haven't gone on a run in about two weeks before that. This is my first official run that I've signed up for and I learned a lot; like making sure your shoes are tied. After my second shoe came undone I ran the last three miles with it untied. Anyways, here's the website with all the times. My time was 38:35.

If you go to >2006 results >2006 Five mile overall you can see that I came in fourteenth overall. They mispelled my last name though, bastards. I came in second in my age group too.

So yeah, I just kind of felt like sharing this.

Wow, that's awesome, Hale. I've never run a full marathon (or even a half...), but I've done the odd 10km charity event.

I'm planning on entering a huge mountain bike race, called the Test of Metal, next summer...I tried to sign up last year, but the 800 spots sold out in 4 hours (six months in advance), I ended up being placed on a waiting list. It's a 67km cross country race through mountain bike trails around Squamish BC. The course has over 1200m of climbing, and 37km of singletrack. The fastest competitors finish in 2-3 hours and the majority finish in around 4-5. lol..I'll probably be closer to 5 hours. :P
