my rl friend has brougth a copy of FFXI today in the UK just to get CoP since me and him imported the game from the US about ½ year ago. He installed to and couldn't get the game to work

now it looks like we will have to import it after all.

Did your friend uninstall the NA POL and FFXI and then install the Euro version of POL, FFXI and all the expansions?

You can't simply install the Euro CoP onto NA FFXI, a GM made that very clear but was unsure if a new install would work.

I have an NA account and I bought the EU all in one pack...but I couldnt use the EU CoP with a NA account....I even asked 2 different GMs.....it really sucks...now I am a lvl 3 MNK in bibiki bay lol, bibiki bay is the nicest place in the game...it even has a minigame called "Clamming" you search for clamming points to receive shellfish and in the end you can keep the shellfish :D the game is 500 gil....to enter Manaclipper (the boat to the other bibiki bay) is 80gil. on the manaclipper are new mobs and dolphins @.@...only slime there aggroes a lvl 3MNK lol

Yea first he installed just EU CoP didn't work, so he uninstalled NA POL and FFXI and Installed the EU version's. They didnt accept his POL ID and password. The only way for him to play the game again is to get another NA POL disc since you cant re-use them once they have been installed T_T

What do you mean you can't re-use them once they have been installed? You can just uninstall the EU version and re-install the NA version.
