I want a cell phone that does nothing but make outgoing calls and incoming calls.

Its why I got the original Razor. I dont mind the camera, its rare that I have to leave my phone desk for security reasons. I dont go to R&D that much anymore.

Sonofabitch that looks awesome. I use Verizon though haha. I would be very afraid of scratching it as well. I have a pretty good case for my Ipod now, and I am sure there will be just as effective cases for the Iphone. I am more worried about bugginess, so it might be best to wait for a 2nd or 3rd generation model. That and Itunes sucks, and this might force you to use Itunes and not be capable of using Ephod (basically hacked Itunes).

The touch screen doesn't actually have to be "touched". It sense your input slightly above it. The worst case of scratching would naturally be using a virtual clickwheel, not simply tapping numbers or letters. And things like the DS stand up fine over time. Still, if I get one I'll be buying an invisible shield, just like I have with my current black iPod.

I just dont see why people are getting excited about this. I have two major problems.

1) it looks easy to break. Im happy my cell phone is as robust as it is (even if its a razor) because its in my pocket ALL THE TIME. Unlike my iPod. My phone is with me everywhere I go. I generally keep my iPod in its own pocket. This phone is going to get beat the f**k up. We need LagunaFFVIII to come back to the forums (doubt anyone other than Mikey, Rein and Viviti even remember him lol) and have him tell us all about his time as a CSR for a cell phone insurance company.

2) Battery life? My cell phone dies pretty fast as it is and I dont do anything on it. My iPod also dies pretty fast. Combine the two and share a battery and all the sudden im thinking this thing is going to last for maybe what 4-5 hours of music listening? I dont like that at all

Why would you be interested in a device that is more or less a compilation of past Apple products in one package then?

Where in my post does it say i'm interested in it? My opinion about this pos is almost the same as yarr's. But i did have to visit apple.com and i havent done that ever to look at one of their products.
